Really tender and tasty brisket, delicious honey corn bread and outstanding service from a young man named Julian. This is a small restaurant from the owners of Harry's Empanadas next door but you can dine in or take out.

Really good food!!! They are so busy with takeout orders though that they aren't as attentive to the customers that dine-in. We walked in and waited 15 minutes before we were even addressed. Also, they ask for people to make reservations but it's such a small place it should really be first come first serve. But hey, they are a new place and will figure out what works best. Food is slammin'

The brisket here is INSANE! Super tender, perfectly smoked, with a delicious rub. Best I've ever had, uncontested.Pulled pork was great with their Guava BBQ sauce. The cornbread was outstanding - super buttery and actually tasted like corn (other BBQ places just make them dry, stale, and flavorless). The burnt ends were good. Not my favorite, but definitely worth a try.My only complaint: the service. Not that it was bad or anything. Quite the contrary. I applaud the crazy amount of work and hustle they put in. Buy the issue is that there was only ONE waiter for the entire restaurant when we went last night. So we did have to wait a bit for food and other things, but he still pulled things off as quickly as he could within his abilities. So here's my note to the owner: Thanks for bringing such a wonderful BBQ spot to Kendall. We needed it. But please work with staffing to ensure they're not stretched too thin or that the service suffers. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would love to return to a successful, long-standing restaurant! With the quality of food you guys have, you deserve to stick around and all the repeat business you can get.

Read about them in The Miami Herald and we had already enjoyed the empanadas at Harry's, so we came for lunch. My eggs Benedict on the cafecito rubbed brisket was delicious and my wife's pulled pork sandwich was great too. It's a small place with not much seating, so be prepared to wait, but the staff is energetic and friendly. Great food and service. Definitely will be back.

Very cozy and welcoming vibe for Sunday brunch. Salmon Benedict and brisket Benedict were both spectacular!! We're definitely coming back to try other BBQ menu items. Everything looks delicious and the family atmosphere was really nice, beautifully decorated too. Great addition to the area!!!

The drive from Miami Lakes to Kendall for the brunch was worth it. The brisket was flavorful, with the coffee grounds complementing the smoked brisket. My favorite was sausage con timba and the cornbread. The smoked sausage is made with guava and cheese (pan con timba is a sandwich with guava &cheese) and the flavors merge into a nicely wrapped combo. The cornbread is the best I've ever tasted, not too sweet, not dry. Just perfect. Better than any in Texas, Georgia or the Carolinas. We finished Lunch with a smoked flan that had a rich, but not overwhelming texture. Looking forward to making the trip again.

We loved the food here! The bbq meat and sides were to die for. Our waiter was fantastic. You must have the smoked flan. It was fire.

We came for Sunday brunch and will definitely be coming back! The food, service and overall feel of the place was superb. We loved the mom and pop welcoming vibe and the bloody Mary's were delicious!

The web site said they opened at 1130 am.They opened after 12 and I had to wait in line while the beer was being inventoried by the cashier, wow really. Then I ordered, well not at the table no no, it is like a fast food joint with sit down served prices. They gave me aStick with a # on it. I had to get my own utensils They gave me my canned drink plastic cup with no ice, only to be told my order would take longer because the ribs were not ready! Incredible had they told me before I paid I would of left and gone elsewhere.I am glad from the beginning that I did not leave.tip, honestly a tip for what. However the food is not bad. BBQ should not be so expensive especially self serviceI still will not return!

We visited this place because of the good reviews. They did not open on time. There was a line of people waiting for them. Then when they finally showed face, they said it would be another 10 minutes. We were the third couple in line. After we placed our order and sat down, they came to the table to inform us that a rack of ribs would be 25 minutes. This is very poor planning by the buisness owners. This place is not inexpensive. Our bill was 60.00 for a full rack of baby back ribs, two small sides, and two sodas. In comparison, you can get a much better lunch and service elsewhere. It is also self-serve as it pertains to you having to help yourself to silverware.Hence, when the food finally arrived, it was good. Personally, didn’t care much for the red beans but the truffle Mac & cheese was delish. Will I return? Most probably not.
