3.5 stars. Good quantity but not quality. The fries were dry and not seasoned. The pulled pork was dry and under seasoned a massive amount of sauce helped. The cheese fries were equally dry cold and under seasoned, the ranch sauce helped those. Chicken tender salad was tasty but the fact that this is a BBQ place that is a sad fact, it didn't have very much chicken on it either. Likewise the chicken tender meal had good chicken and disgusting fries. Spent $50 took us less than 5 min to get into hotel. It was disappointing but filling.
The server was service with a smile but ordered the chicken wings and they were over fried, couldn't eat it the way it was dry. The freshness wasn't their, the server was nice enough to get me a second order of wings but again, they were over fried, do not blame the server but who ever fried the wings. Took my appetite away so I left them. Shorty's, you can do better then that. I have been going to shorty's for a long time and the freshness of the food has disappeared. For a cook to fry something and looks at how it comes out, should know about freshness in frying. Very disappointed, Shorty's!
Service was quick but Food dropped a level. My sweet potato was no bigger than a 5 years old fist. My BBQ beef was not like childhood at all. It was sliced and neat and small. What happen?The charge for it all so be careful when you order.Still homey place and Food is fresh.
I can't day enough good things about this Shorty's! The food is amazing. It's perfect for lunch and dinner. The portions are big enough you never leave wanting more food. They have a variety of BBQ sauces so make sure to try them and find your favorite. All my coworkers rave about the pulled pork, but my favorite is sliced. And of course, you have to get the cole slaw, the BEST in town.
It was terrible. We placed our order but half an hour later a different waitress asked if we were ready to order... like what??! On top of that, they blamed the salad my mom ordered for the delay on the rest of the meals. I don't recommend this particular Shorty's Bar-B-Q.
What a disgrace to the name. My parents brought me here and I sat on a high chair.SHORTYS was my favorite thing in Miami. The best BBQ. Not any more.Poor quality, undercooked greasy garbage.Never again.The waitress rolled her eyes and told me she didn't cook it.run away from this trash
I am so disgusted. my all time lifelong favorite Shortys is ruined into a filthy disgusting mess. the rude waitress told me she didn't cook the food when I said something. later she told me she hated pork while rolling her eyes. the pork was full of fat and of far. horrible, a roll of paper towels wouldn't have helped. the team and supposed new owners have turned this into more Miami crap.
A good quality restaurant, the barbacue ribs are very tasty, I recommend this restaurant to share with family and friends, for any special celebration. The workers are excellent at customer service. I will be back very soon!!!!
