Fantastic shops
Great location
As I was waiting for the tour bus in the morning at bayside I felt not safe because there were lonely and homeless man trying to get my attention. For a women and a child it is not safe to be there at any time- somewhere that it should be okay to be waiting for a tour bus.
This is a great shopping area right on the water. We had a very pleasant evening strolling, shopping, and eating here.
I bet Bayside market was the hopping place when it opened in the late 80’s. Needs some serious upgrading and cash infusion by ownership to clean this place up to how it should be!
Lots of options for entertainment, shopping and eating, great way to spend the day right by the Bayfront Park!
This was one of my favorite places in the mid 90s for shopping and dining with friends. While visiting for the first time in at least 15 years I was happy to "from a distance" see the development was still open but the closer we got, the scarier it got. I would categorize most of the crowd as undesirable, people that I'm not sure were even truly supporting the businesses as the crowd outside the stores and restaurants was bigger than those in and a crowd that clearly doesn't look at themselves in the mirror before going out in public. I would hate to use the word "sub-culture" but that's the cleanest I find to describe who frequents this place now. Walking through clouds of marihuana smoke is kind of the thing here too. Not sure if truly allowed or whether the staff just looks away and holds their breath from the nasty skunk as dealing with it may mean keeping a job somehow. Lombardis Italian Restaurant which I used to frequent is still there though it has clearly changed to stay up with the times and now has a Conga Bar with fun lively music. Not the Lombardi's I remember but all good. There's a Ferris wheel that didn't exist before and that was fun. Dirty and dingy with a false sense of safety given by the fact you hope nobody will do something stupid in front of the crowd. Not rushing back, perhaps will get better if I wait another 15 years to return. If Bayside Marketplace is in any way a reflection of where our country is going... Yikes!!
This is the most posh and entertaining one out of all the piers, maybe for its location's coolness. Chilled here twice during our long-weekend-long Florida trip. They have all big and small shops inside some place called Marketplace. Actually this entire place is like a big retail outlet just by the bay. Outside people were singing Cuban songs and one of us went drunk with back-to-back cocktails.
This is our spot! Always good prices and excellent quality Pier 5 Market. It can be hectic on the inside but wait patiently and you shall receive....worth the wait and good people helping out, you just need to ask the right questions!
Great place to go with a large group of people so you don't have to worry about getting everyone to agree on one type of cuisine but alternatively and excellent place to go on a date as well! We recently checked this place out while on a trip to Miami and were quite impressed. A large variety of options from italian, mexican, thai, ramen, etc. Decent amount of seating but obviously that depends on what time you go. During peak hours it might be a bit difficult.
