I went here one time for drinks and the place was a real good vibe. I just went for dinner and I have to say this was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The food was overpriced for what we were getting. What I mean by that is the quality was not there. You’re better off going to Novakov or Zuma for the price you’re paying here. The quality was equivalent to buying sushi at a grocery store. And absolutely do not get the miso black cod, at a $70 price point you would think that they would cook that piece of fish to perfection. That fish was absolutely foul. Me and my friends all feel sick after our experience here.

Very pricey but delicious fresh sushi. Took forever to get our food, despite being the only ones in the restaurant...but when it arrived, it was worth it. The waiter was very nice and gave good service.

This place truly has potential. It is beautifully decorated and has really awesome art murals, while of course being located in the chic Design District. Precisely because of where it is located, service should be the #1 priority. We went for a late dinner and there were only 2 waitresses, no busboys or runners, nor a hostess. The manager was outside on his cellphone and we had to ask the bartender were we could be seated. The waitress was super sweet but seemed overwhelmed and tired. Restaurants with low intensity lighting for dinner are fantastic and the way to go, but this place was more like a club, very dark. Yes, low warm lighting is cozy and intimate for a nice dinner experience, but too dark, cool lighting and it can get awkward, not even a small accent light on the table or a tealight candle. The food was nothing special, definitely not high quality ingredients. It was normal and nothing out of the ordinary, at least for the prices being charged. If they invested on high quality ingredients worth the prices, hire more staff in order to make it more welcoming and vibrant, train their staff to have a nicer, happier vibe, this restaurant would surely thrive.

I hate to leave only three stars to a restaurant located in my neighborhood. Last night we went to Okami for the first time, group of 4. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was good. We ordered: octopus, tuna ceviche, crispy rice with tuna, tuna rolls and skirt steak. Very regular menu in Miami but nicely done. The big fail happened when I ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc priced $ 68 that they didn’t have, nor they had the other Sauvignon that I asked which was priced $ 76. They didn’t have any Sauvignon at all. Ok it happens. The waiter then offered, as alternative option, a bottle of Chardonnay, that we ordered because we wanted to drink some wine with our food. The waiter though didn’t point out that he was offering a $ 142.00 bottle as “alternative” for a $ 68 one. Normally, the rule of thumb is that when a restaurant offers an alternative bottle it should be in the same price range, not more than double the price without letting the client know. And the client should not be put in the position of asking prices at the table.Note that for a bottle of $ 142 the restaurant didn’t even have 4 matching glasses, literally each one of us had a different glass….not the right experience for a bottle of $ 142.00.I suggest the restaurant to be more transparent with clients about prices, what happened is not the right way to build a loyal clientele and it partially ruined what could have been a 5 stars experience.

Love the music. It's as chic as the chanel store across the street but quaint like your favorite Parisienne Bakery around the corner. Great food and drinks. The tuna tartar is a must as well as the octopus teradito. Check out this neighborhood hotspot!!!

Best ceviche I had in Miami! Super fresh and all other items we ordered were delicious and freshly prepared as well. Pricey, but worth it and you can actually still have a conversation while eating, unlike in most places where they confuse nightclubs with restaurants

Went to Okami last week with my wife and our server David went above and beyond! Awesome experience! Strongly recommend

Came here on a Saturday around 2PM. This place has potential but they need to do better on their food and service. The food was very low quality and flavorless. The service unfortunately wasn’t good either I order a bottle of sake and the waitress poured me a drink but forgot to shake the bottle so she grab my drink and dumped it in the ice bucket. Very strange behavior! Also this place has one bathroom which you need a code (Gas station vibes.) I hope this place could step up their standers, service and food quality if they want to impress the crowds in the design District.

Wish I had read thr reviews, they add a 20% service fee that isn't even for the waitstaff. So be prepared to pay 40% above menu price for your dinner. Which is probably why the service is so bad, we waited forever to get anything brought to the table. Food is good, but not worth a return visit.

Amazing and beautiful food! Lovely staff and delicious cocktails. The setting is spectacular. Highly recommend. I had the Okami Salad and Salmon Teriyaki. Perfection.
