Discovered this place while walking by in Wynwood with my husband. Vibe is pretty chill - place definitely turns up at night. Drinks were pretty good - happy hour is from 2pm to 7pm. The yaniqueque and quipe was good as well. Cute place to try out - has a modern, new age Dominican type of feel. There is hookah as well but I am not sure what’s the deal or how much.
Denny is incredible!!! The service was great. Food was so delicious and Denny made sure to make us feel very welcomed and we felt as if we were home. First and DEFINITELY NOT the last time we come here. Such great vibes!
Pros: the place looks great. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the murals.Also, the motoconcho is a very nice touch.The server was very courteous.Cons: tiny lounge tables that are also supposed to serve as your dining tables.Super loud music at 2pm when no one is drunk enough to ignore it yet—can’t even have a conversation.Can’t say anything about the food, as we left after one drink, due to the loud music and the tiny tables.Suggestions: bring the music volume down a notch. Make it louder as the party gets better in the afternoon.Also, get real dining tables. You cannot have a meal while hunched over a kids size table.I think if you put the same amount of thought into the dining experience as you did into the decor, you’d find less negative reviews.Best of luck going forward, as I’m sure you’re working hard to improve your new business.
I really like this spot the food so far has been really good and the bar staff is very friendly and helpful the Mofongo plates are very good highly recommend if you are a Mofongo lover they have a great selection of drinks and food and they got hookah too. They have Dj so the play good music is like a new york and miami mix ,this spot is awesome to be with friends or solo if you want to have a good time
This was a tough one to review. It would have been a 4½ or 5 star right up until we saw the check.The Good:Amazing atmosphere, super attentive and friendly staff, and the food tasted amazing!The OKThe servings were a bit small. The $30 steak was barely 4oz sliced into baby strips on the plate. I will say the pork ribs were delicious and well portioned.The BadWhen I say the steak was $30, I mean just that. The barely 4oz of beef was $30. Not the rice, nothing else. We found out when we got the check, if you'd like anything else on your plate other than the small portion of steak, its extra. $6 for a scoop of rice and peas. Delicious yes, but a snack sized meal for $36, a bit outrageous. …but it didn't stop there...Same for the ribs! I've honestly never had ribs without fries, or Cole slaw, or ….something.... yep. extra. another $6 for a small portion of fries to accompany your ribs.I think what really set me off was seeing the check, and how they charged our designated driver $4 for each refill of a fountain drink, and they tack on a 2.6% "service charge" for fountain soda. So, for 2 glasses of fountain coca cola with lots of ice cost $10.65.Given it was Cinco de Mayo, those two coca colas were equivalent to three of my Coronas.Finally, as with many places in Miami, they do auto-add gratuity, but my experience in the Miami market the auto add is normally 18%, with the option to add 2% or 7% for outstanding service. Here, you'll see a full 20% gratuity added to your tab automatically. To me, that's a bit over zealous and over confident given the outlandish pricing and servings provided.In the end, I'd absolutely come back for drinks, but only after patronizing one of the many other restaurants in Wynwood that offer reasonable pricing, or at least food and servings that are worth the price you pay.
We stopped for a drink after visiting the Wynwood Wall. The vibe was chill, music good, drinks were strong, and fried cassava was excellent! The service was great and host was friendly. Highly recommend!
They’re hookah is awesome… great vibe, great drinks. Yes they’re tables are low for comfortably eating but it is definitely a more club vibe. Food was very good also.
We just stopped by for a quick drink while exploring Wynwood area in Miami. Ordered a Lemoncito and a Cocada on the specialty drink menu. DELICIOUS!!! Unfortunately we didn’t end up ordering food because we just wanted a quick stop. But, they brought us by some complementary chips and dip. Beautiful place to eat in Miami ! The inside is designed very well. Everything about the restaurant was amazing ! The food was authentic and tasted amazing. Service was also great !
Writing this review in hopes it will help management realize a terrible design flaw. This is not a place to sit down and have dinner comfortably. All of their seating is lounge style seating. No standard height tables where you can comfortably sit down and eat dinner without bending over on a lounge style table. Really nice place to have a drink and some appetizers but grab dinner elsewhere first if you expect to sit and eat with a proper back posture..
