I love this place. For me service and atmosphere is as important as food, if you are like me this is your place. Ok Gabiano has it all ! Spectacular setting where you can enjoy of Biscayne Bay views. As soon as you seat you will receive a piece of Parmigiano-Reggiano, tomato bruschetta, sweet balsamic with olive oil and of course the house delicious bread. Food is marvelous and the wine list is impressive. Highly recommend this experience.
Il Gabbiano is a must visit for us anytime we are in Miami. Excellent Italian cuisine in a beautiful room/inside/outside on the water downtown. Loved the artichokes romana and the pollo al martini. Excellent service. Primo!
I believe that the service is what provides this place it’s reputation. The food was very good, the freshness, the quality and portions were on point. The wine selection is excellent and you cannot beat the location. However, we showed up with 2 small well behaved children and had reservations for the inside because it was safer and cooler for the children but as soon as the Metre saw the children, she shoved us in a hidden hot outside table next to the back of the bar in a very high waiter traffic and next to a door that customers kept opening to go outside to cut the trip short and were not supposed to. We decided not to say anything because when I write reviews, I keep quiet and observe to the last detail. We were hot and humid and mosquitoes were biting the children. We ate our average food, feeling sweaty, humid and soggy and ate fast to get out of there as soon as possible. The service definitely saved this review.
It’s a really good restaurant and you can feel they use excellent products. There are two reasons I can’t give it a 5 star review: - First, one waiter shouted the other waiter in front of us. Apparently there was a confusion and we were served the parmesano and brusquetta before being offered some water. However, these are things that should be discussed in private and not in front of costumers. - Second, too many things missing from the menu. Two out of five in our group had to change their first option. Overall, this is an amazing restaurant and I really recommend it. Hopefully this review can help them be even better.
The best Italian dinner I have ever had and perhaps the best dinner ever.
This is an Amazing restaurant, delicious food, awesome staff and a great location. We celebrated our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend. If you are visiting Brickell area, you can’t miss this wonderful restaurant and after dinner walk around the area. Great scenery.
This is my new favorite restaurant! Everything is exceptional here starting with the service and each entree of the meal. They start you off with an aged balsamic vinegar, fresh chunk of parmesan cheese, and bruschetta. Next, we had baked clams that were to die for and then a pasta with fresh fettuccine noodles made with a champagne cream sauce with shaved truffle on top. For the main course we had grilled lagostinos that were so sweet and tender and a fried veal chop on the bone sauteed in butter. We ended our meal with cappuccino and fresh tiramisu, cream brulee and zabagloni cream with fresh berries. Everything was superb!

You must try this gem. I have been here twice and both were outstanding. Terrific food, service and ambiance right on the water with tables inside or out. Pasta, meat or fish - you can’t go wrong.
