We are in town for a family funeral and needed to order food quickly for about 20 people after the services. We went to Ho Wah based on a recommendation and we are so glad we did. The owner accommodated all of our requests quickly and was so pleasant too! My only wish is that we lived closer so we could support her and her restaurant more often. Thank you so much for your amazing food and service!
I went to this restaurant on a whim, and I’m glad I did. The owner and chef were both very accommodating to my dietary restrictions and made sure that the food I ordered was muslim friendly. The serving size was a lot bigger than I expected as well, so much so that I had some food leftover after eating on an empty stomach. Definitely recommend, 10/10 experience.
Got a vegetable lo mien and some cheese wonton today for lunch and it was so delicious and fresh! 10/10 recommend!
I’ve been going to this restaurant for many years. The owners have recently changed and I was really disappointed in that. I decided to try out the food since the owners have changed. I ordered a small won ton soup and a quart of special fried rice, it came out to about $25.00.The prices have definitely increased. The new owners said that the price reflects more flavorful food and quality over quantity. I did not enjoy the wonton soup and the special fried rice was tasty but some of the shrimp weren’t cleaned out all the way. I was kinda bummed out.I’m sorry to say that I don’t think I’ll be coming back. It wasn’t awful, it just wasn’t amazing either… considering the price. But the new owners seem like very nice people.
I tried the wonton soup and chicken chow mein (not lo mein, which is noodles and not vegetables) and both were the best I ever had anywhere and that's saying a lot because I've had these in many parts of the US and Canada. If you prefer quality food, this is definitely the place. The service was excellent. I will be placing many more orders here in the future. I'll add more reviews when I try other menu items. One thing to note...this restaurant has been around for a number of years, but the current owner took over the operation just last November. I noticed reviews since then are all 5's. I spoke to one of the staff and he said past owners used frozen items whereas the current owner uses all fresh items.I spoke to the owner as well and she said she had worked in one of the downtown Miami hotels for a number of years and wanted to use that knowledge to run her own business. I really admire people who take that step. Whenever I come across a gem like this one I really like to see it flourish. I encourage everyone to give this place a try.
Wonton soup very salty and missing the rice noodle bag.Fried wonton very grease the sauce was in a small container it was spicy instead of sweet and sour. The rice in the friend rice was very pasty.
Ran into this place while running errands and gave it a try. So glad I did!! The food was amazing and tasted so fresh, made me second guess other places I’ve eaten at. I believe it’s the owner I was speaking with, she was so pleasant and eager to make sure I had a good experience…I definitely did! Now I won’t complain to run errands as long as I know I’m picking up food from Ho Wah!!
My sister and I while visiting our Mom, we live out of town, wanted to eat Chinese food and found Ho Wah. What a pleasant find indeed! This restaurant has amazing, fresh, authentic Chinese food created by Chefs to order. The owners are fantastic and friendly who aim to please their customers. I highly recommend this restaurant 5 Stars all the way.
My husband and I were recommended to give Ho Wah restaurant a try, that the food and service was phenomenal and that is definitely the truth!! Mrs. Yajing is so sincere, heartwarming and goes the extra mile to make sure your experience is acceptable. Not only is it acceptable, it’s delectable and exceptional! The food is absolutely superb! It’s not a dine-in restaurant but the food is definitely above and beyond typical take-out. The items we have had so far, that have ALL been excellent are: egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, orange chicken, vegetable tofu, mongolian beef, Ho Wah special fried rice, vegetable fried rice, pork bao buns, bbq pork buns, and still so many other options we’re eager to try. If you don’t give this place an opportunity, you’re truly missing out! The food is fresh, cooked to perfection and exploding with flavor (my mouth is watering and now I’m going to have to order after I finish this review ?). Keep in mind at the time I’m writing this review, they are relatively new and just opened (new owners) so they still have to hire more people for various positions. With some patience and understanding your belly is going to thank you and like us and others we know, you’ll definitely go back for more and have possibly found your new favorite Chinese food place.
Just ordered today and i had to jump on and rate 5 stars. Great food, flavorful and fresh. Heard it’s under new management. Hope they keep the quality up! Thanks so much. Will be coming back.
