A modern and chic sushi bar close to the beach, with excellent food and excellent portions.Went out to eat with the family, we ordered a sushi lover's boat for three and a few plates, and although everything was great, the boat stole the show.Service is a bit on the slow side, but not egregiously so for a sushi place. Servers were quite polite and serviceable, props to Jesson.All in all, excellent place to stop when coming from the beach, or for a late-night sushi or sake run.
Disaster from the start! I can see why they ad their 15% tip even for a party of 4. We sat down, handed menus without a hello, then no service for 10 minutes...not even offered a glass of water. I had to get up and flag a server down. There were only 4 active tables in the whole place so No Excuse. When the first appetizer came the plates and silverware were dropped off at the end of the table, I had to hand them out to my guest. That's the waitress job. My son-n-law was served a glass of red vinegar as you could not call it wine. We had to send it back. The tuna tataki was over seared with no flavor, the salmon skin hand roll was so stale I could barely bite through it, left half on the plate. The spicy conch was a few small pieces of cubed conch mixed in with plate full of cucumber that had no flavor. Spider roll was stale as well. It was after mid-night so we were all so hungry we ate enough to satisfy our hunger and left! YES, I'm the one that wrote DISAPPOINTED at the bottom of my $180 check! We came back here after years of patronage to give Hero one more try as last time it was so-so but we figured they were just having an off night... maybe understaffed like allot of places. Needless to say they just do not care so we will never be back.The food was well over-priced compared to the local market as well. It's a shame the owners are allowing this place to go down when it is so nicely decorated and use to be a roaring successful place to enjoy good sushi. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
As a local, I've been coming to eat at Hiro's since I was nine years old (25 years ago). My father brought me to have my first taste of sushi and I fell in love. The atmosphere is fun, the staff is welcoming, and, most importantly, the food is always delicious. I've visited many sushi restaurants, even two in Japan, and Hiro's is still my favorite after all this time. I usually get their shrimp tempura roll or their lobster tempura roll (which is crazy yummy). The tempura don is also something wonderful to look into. Nowadays, I take my son for lunch or dinner as often as I can and I hope this wonderful place is somewhere he takes his kids one day.

Horrible customer service! Our waiter Jason was awful. We order appetizers and 2 dinners. After an hour we received the chicken only. Waited 10 more minutes for our sides and then finally received our appetizers as our dessert. I repeatedly asked for our food. Almost everything I ordered was in correct and cold. We sent back some of the food because clearly it sat there for quite a while and was awful. The sad part is the restaurant could care less about making things right with their customers. After being a customer for 10 plus years I definitely won’t be going back. Save your money and go elsewhere
The worst sushi place ever. We all got sick after dinner. We couldn’t even finish anything because it was so not tasty. Look at my photo, it’s California with caviar on the top that you can barely see. Service was awful, we waited 20 min for menus and 40 min after. Don’t waste your time.

Hellooo!!! I have been coming to hiro for over ten years and last night was one of my ‘lets go for sushi’ nights.I usually feel very welcome when I come here. Very attentive staff. Sushi is fenomenal. Nice atmosphere. Decent prices.Some of my fav are the classic miso soup, volcano roll, tuna crispy rice, whole maine lobster, tuna tartare... Hiro have a great culinary staff!!!Last night was super bowl 2022 and today is valentines day. So it was kind of mix emotions paring with great sushi.We had seafood soup, hamachi tartare, of course tuna crispy rice and volcano. For dessert banana tempura with vanilla ice cream. All of them 5/5.See yall soon!!!!
We had 4 servers tonight!!!!! Just one works, the first waiter took our order and disappeared from the restaurant, they took our order again like 3 times, the manager, another waiter and finally a waitress, I don't remember her name but she brought us all our order instantly.They takes a long time to remove the empty plates from the table and the bathroom is very dirty and without toilet paper.
