Best food & Stellar Customer Service Harvey's BBQ kitchen 13920 SW 139th CT Miami FL 33186 We drove 4 hours to Homestead Florida for a family reunion on Sunday July 3, 2022. I was tasked to find a local caterer not knowing the area I just checked reviews on the web 2 days prior. The best decision I ever made was choosing Harvey's barbecue kitchen. The manager Natalie Alexander replied promptly to my request for this large last-minute catering for 54 people. Professional and courteous, she guided me through the application process in a way that made me feel comfortable. I had one hiccup with the delivery location, which, let me tell you was not even an issue because the delivery person "Carla" went above and beyond to make sure that I had our order on time and still hot. She even let me HAVE THE THERMAL delivery bag to keep my food exceptionally hot while we journeyed the additional 1 hour to the venue. Carla was amazing and so kind. She provided last minute instructions for the food and was gone. My family's response "Best food ever". This was real chicken like your mama made on the barbecue in the backyard. Soooo .. good ! The chicken was succulent, the sauce was flavorful, the coleslaw was light and refreshing. Do yourself a favor! Don't hesitate to call Harvey's BBQ kitchen for your catering, if you are ever in the Miami or Homestead Florida area. We enjoyed every single bite. It was truly delicious. What made the meal taste even better was their exceptional team. The seamless process and excellent customer service provided by this team made my family reunion less stressful and more enjoyable. The best BBQ!!. Had a gathering of friends and family and ordered the sampler and additional ribs. The gathering and good conversation soon took a turn to the ribs and brisket, and then the BBQ took a life of its own ,and all conversation. arguments, agreements, disagreements were soon forgotten to be replaced by this great, flavorful BBQ dinner. Cant say enough about Harvey's menu an touch and Natalie's attention to detail. Look forward to a 4th of July BBQ Harvey's style.
Idk how this is rated as one of Miami’s. For starters, the location is a dingy old warehouse that doesn’t have any indication of the restaurants name. I would love to see how they do dine in lol. Secondly, if you try to call you get an automated message saying “please go to our website” ?! There is no way of contacting them so if you order from them good luck! Instead of getting a call from the actual business… they have an employee call you from a personal cell phone. Very unprofessional. Btw the only entrance is a back door that takes you through the kitchen. What happened to food and health code? Especially in this day an age of COVID this is not safe at all.
The sauce from Harvey's BBQ is absolute PERFECTION. We have been long time customers of Harvey's. When we moved we were sad we wouldn't be able to have that delicious sauce. Now we are able to have a little piece of home by being able to order on line!!! Shame I can't give it 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Harvey’s BBQ is some of the best BBQ we have had in a while! Their baby back ribs are full of flavor and they fall right off the bone. You must try his original BBQ sauce. We have them with our ribs and have used it to BBQ chicken at home. Be sure to pair your baby backs with a side of their delicious potato salad! Harvey’s BBQ is a must try!
I like very good Bar b Que, and have been to some of the best in the country like in Kansas City, Memphis, North Carolina and Texas.In South Florida, I have been a frequent Client of Shorty's for many years. I am very happy to have found Harvey. The food is great and the service is friendly and timely. In fact, they deliver earlier than the time you expected contrary to numerous restaurants, which you have to call them several times because they are late.The owners are very professional and caring in their dealings with the customers. They go the extra miIe to ensure everything is to your satisfaction. I have ordered several times and will continue to do so.Give it a try like I did.???
Ordered the brisket sandwhich. Probably some of the worse bbq I’ve ever had. Payed over $15 for the sandwhich and a side and The meat was extremely chewy, I could barely eat it as a sandwhich because when I would take a bite I had to grab on to the meat to break it off fron the sandwhich. And My side was extremely small for the price. Low quality meat, small portion. Terrible. Sauce was good that’s about it. And my corn bread was burnt and extremely dry.
I really wanted to like this place. I’m by here everyday and know many in the area and this bbq has been recommended to me. However it was kind of a bummer especially for the price. The macaroni and cheese was really good and the chicken and ribs and brisket tasted really well but I felt a little slacked with the amount. The coleslaw was just a bit weird can’t really describe it, my boyfriend will usually devour it but he ate about half and I tried it but same thing.The baked beans were my biggest disappoint. I was so excited for it but it was literally really watery soup with beans in it that happened to taste like baked beans (the taste of it was good) but all the sauce slid off the beans because it was watered down a lot.Pretty disappointed, not sure if we are going to order again.
Update- the owner very quickly reached out and offered to correct any issue I had within an hour of my review. Will give another shot because of the excellent customer service ?First time ordering, didn’t have an awful experience but not a great one either. The pulled pork was okay but I ordered sauce on side so that could be my fault. The sauce was similar to sweet baby rays and I liked it as well.Everything needed salt or seasoning of some kind. Chili was terrible and very sweet hard to call chili, was more like they added ground beef to baked beans. Mac and cheese was fine after I added salt. Greens were exceptional after I added salt.
