I really wanted to like this place. Service is good, decor is fine, the waiting time is long, but the food is... lacking. They served me the saddest papaya salad in the history of papaya salad (and I had plenty, some really sad, but this one was a case apart). The nikei ceviche was the opposite of fresh and vibrant. Cocktails were good, though, and the malanga nachos were solid. I would give it 3 stars, but that papaya salad... How a chef can serve that and their restaurant not be a desert? Beyond my knowledge. Skip it, try some of the amazing options Kendall has. Or go just for the cocktails.
Has to be a top 5 eatery in all of Kendall in my opinion. Although it’s the same owners as Islas Canarias, the World Famous Croquetas have a unique taste here. This is a MUST when ordering appetizers. We also ordered the Tostones with Vaca Frita, but I don’t recommend it. Mostly tasteless and filler food. However … the Smoked Brisket STEALS THE SHOW! Incredible dish paired along with incredible service from our waitress Meagan. Her high energy is fantastic, coupled along with her vast knowledge of the menu, inside and out. It’s people like her which keep restaurants like this from only being a Phase.I hope management sees this and acknowledges what a unicorn of an employee they have on their hands, especially in this day and age where people seem to have lost a taste for detail.FIVE STARS ALL-AROUND
Good food and atmosphere. Great bar area too. This is an Asian Fusion restaurant with lots of flavors. The desserts are spectacular.
Love the bar tenders they’re all amazing, they really know what their doing!!! Drinks are the best in town!! Best quality, best flavors best service!!! Food it’s also very good, appetizers are the best!! Ambiance awesome!!! Love the Cuban fusion!!! The best!!! Almost forgot the waitresses are grate too!! Caring and efficient ????????
My friend had oxtail with polenta. It was delicious. I told the server I wanted something lighter because I wasn't too hungry. He suggested the fish with cauliflower rice. It was great and perfectly cooked. He also suggested an amber lager that was amazing. Great service, ambiance & food. Highly recommend.
We had our wedding welcome dinner here! The food and service was excellent. Bernie the manager was amazing in accommodating and making sure everything was perfect. The food choices were delicious and our guests from PR, LA, Italy, and Colombia were extremely happy and satisfied with the food and service.
The restaurant is super loud, not enjoyable at all. The mariquitas offered as "Bread and butter" were extremely salty. The food was not good, very below average not tasty at all. We had tamale and it tasted like frozen heated tamale. The ceviche was good but a bit too spicy. The yucas were sweet..... And the fried rice was just flavorless. In other words avoid.
I wish I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars because the food is phenomenal. Wonderful flavors, cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and large portions. Cuban Asian fusion sounds odd, but the flavors are delicious. I had the harissa chicken and risotto and it was the perfect blend of comfort food + gourmet flavors. The guava cheesecake was amazing as well. I will definitely be back here.
Food is not bad and served with a very large quantity, service is good. The only thing I can complain is the flavor, but that’s a subjective thing, overall 4 stars experience.
We will be daydreaming about our meal until we can come back. We are in the area on vacation, and wanted to try something unique. Finka Table & Tap did not disappoint. Our server, Megan, was like a food tour guide. She patiently answered our questions, and was so knowledgeable about the menu offerings. We started with the pork belly appetizer. These bites melted in our mouths, and the flavors had us scooping the bits of leftover sauce out of the bowl. Our meals and cocktails were equally as delicious and memorable.Thank you for an amazing dinner!
