I used to like El chalan about 20 years ago but lately so many Peruvian restaurants have opened and surpassed el chalan both on decor and comfort as well as the food.
Best Peruvian food. This is the most authentic Peruvian food I’ve had in Miami. Service is awesome and staff is friendly. The ceviche is my favorite

I havent been here for about 10 years and ohh boy... the place is dated and not as clean and amiable as I remember. The food was not great either... what Peruvian restaurant does not have causa to start with..?... the Lomo salteado was dry and the tomatoes from the seafood Jalea were cut hours ago making them jelly texture and rancid taste.. Overall I would not come back..
Prompt service. Waiters were nice. Price point is excellent for the amount and quality of food you get.

My family & I have eaten at El Chalán Restaurant numerous times over the years. Never dissapointed. Food delicious, nice atmosphere, great service & reasonable prices.

Tried the Tallarines verdes with lomo and it was so good and perfect seasoning on the meat. The portion was good and service was good. The only thing was we got a glass of water and it had someone’s lipstick on the glass…
