We have been huge fans of Christy’s for decades but this was our first visit after it reopened under new ownership.I will rate on a scale of 0-5 with 5 being EXCELLENT:THE PLACE: 5Elegant environment as alwaysTHE WINE: 5++++OUR outstanding server (JACINDA) recommended a superb red wine“Eight Years in the Desert” very smooth, fruity wine, really really good.THE APPETIZERS:The Escargot: 5The Caesar Salad: 5+++++The legendary salad was absolutely exceptional as always, the crisp, cool lettuce, the dressing the Parmesan cheese and the anchovies PERFECTLY balanced; OUTSTANDING !THE ENTREES:FILLET MIGNON; 5+++++We both had the Fillet Mignon with Bernaise Sauce; it was excellent to say the least, cooked and seasoned to perfection.THE SIDES:POTATOES AU GRATIN: 5+++++++++++++Incredible dish served for 2 ; you have to try this delectable tasty dish; amazing,GRILLED ASPARAGUS 5++AND SAUTÉED MUSHROOMS: 5++Savory, tasty, awesome !DESERTThere is quite a collection of great deserts, we decided on a simple one:THE KEY LIME PIE: 5++++The simplest desert on the menu but it was delectable and second to none.THE SERVICE: 5++++++++++++++++++++++Simply outstanding world class service .Our server JACINDA was courteous, elegant , throughly knowledgeable about the menu, wine selections, she made excellent recommendations and just made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the evening; the food was expertly timed and served with no delays whatsoever.THE PRICE / VALUE: 4Our dining experience was about $200 plus a well deserved generous tip for our server JACINDA; expensive but well worth it given the quality of the food and service for a very special occasion like Valentine’s Day .SUMMARY:Christy’s is BACK ! Food was amazing, for what they had available. With the exception of a steak that came out blue instead of medium.. everything else was delicious. Mangement should consider not booking out or taking in the entire restaurant to capacity if they do not have enough staff as service ultimately suffered. It was an experience that took over 3 hours... so good but slow... I may not go back though.. Miami offers a lot of great steakhouses with better service.
Great experience! Everything is so good here… meat perfectly cooked, juicy, so flavorful, just perfect ?? Appetizers and sides are to die for! Best prepared escargot I’ve found outside of the Bourgogne region of France. Oyster Rockefeller is a must too!Also love the ambiance and decor… comfort of a high class steak restaurant, but with Miami twist and flair with amazing art pieces peppered throughout the restaurant.Service was on point. Everyone was so nice and lovely! You feel like you’re home here.Highly recommended!
I remember this restaurant about 30 years ago, and it was very good.This time not so good, our food was noticeable late, later arrivals were eating before our party of five, we were looking forward to Baked Alaska, ran out.Very disappointed after seeing my $1,200.00 bill.
As a SF native....my wife and I have Always have had a great Dining experience here. Impeccable service great food. What else can I say....
This is definitely a special occasion place. Dark wood paneling and two huge rooms separated by the bar. You can carry a conversation with no difficulty.Pro - Many restaurants are unable to seat 12 of us during the prime dinner hour; however we've never had that issue on Christmas Eve. at Christy's Restaurant.
Great steaks and lamb racks! Their signature roasted prime rib is delicious as well!
