Borti Pasta Bar at the Citadel in Miami Shores has the “hands down” numero uno authentic pasta dishes in Miami. Eating at Bordi is like eating in Roma, Capri and Sicily ! Without the views of course. I especially enjoy the Spaghetti Vongole. It’s perfectly cooked al dente and has the perfect balance of garlic and spice with a nice hint of exotic cracked black pepper and freshly shaved bottarga. It’s like tasting the Mediterranean Sea!! Bring a nice bottle of wine and a few friends and enjoy a culinary delight. I give Borti Pasta Bar 1 Michelin Star ⭐️!Bravo Mauro Borti and Chef’s !!!!
This place is the end-all be-all of authentic Italian restaurants. I have been all over the USA and I have yet to find a place that can even hold a candle to Borti.The texture of their fresh, homemade pasta is perfect. It has a kind of velvety-smoothness that makes each spoonful a pleasure to bite into, and their homemade sauces are simple and rich in flavor.Some of my favorites are their pesto gnocchi, carbonara, and their lasagna. Absolute killer dishes. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some of the best authentic pasta around.
The woman who answered the phone when I called in for delivery was very nice and didn't rush me. I ordered a 12" meat pizza and a coke and was reasonably priced and was delivered on time by a friendly person. The pizza was good, but didn't have Italian sausage and herbs as one would expect from an Italian restaurant. I did however ate the whole pie by myself. I will be ordering from them in the future. Maybe one day I will dine in and enjoy the atmosphere.

Pasta-centered authentic Italian cuisine. I've spent a lot of time in Italy and this is the real deal. I opted for dishes typical of Rome/Lazio, starting with suppli al telefono (rice croquettes stuffed with mozzarella). Suppli this delicious and authentic are difficult to find in South Florida and are similar to what you find on the streets of Rome. For the main courses, I had the bucatini all'Amatriciana and the Rigatoni Carbonara. Once I saw that Borti was using guanciale, I couldn't resist but to order these two dishes, as the guanciale provides the quintessential depth of flavor for these dishes. Both were excellent. The bucatini was fresh and with the correct texture and the sauce was well balanced. The carbonara was the perfect consistency, not too runny but not overcooked. The pecorino and fresh cracked pepper were just the right amount and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I had my food delivered so I cannot comment on the service, but the food was authentic as you'll find anywhere and absolutely delicious. I will certainly return and recommend to others.
This was our 4 time here and it has totally deteriorated. We were surprised that the rooftop was fairly empty. The reservation woman totally lacked customer service skills. She acted totally miserable to be there . The waitresses only 2 were great but way under capacity. We ordered good from several of the restaurants in the food court and the quality was totally missing . The worst one was Mandalay which never completed our order. We will never go back. That is the end of our Citadel life experience. It is not worth it. Don’t waste your time!
Freshhhh ingredients fresh pasta great spot for fast classic Italian dishes with excellent FLAVOR. The taste says everything. Great bruschetta. Mushroom risotto special was fire. You guys are awesome!!! Great Italian dishes without any BS. easily the best REAL Italian in Miami. Recommend and will be back ??
It is rare that you find incredible food, at very reasonable prices, served by great people. Borti is one of those places. I eat here a couple of times every week. Their meals remind me of the food that I eat whenever I visit my family in Tuscany.
This place is THE place to eat authentic Italian pasta in Miami. I am Italian and struggled for many years to find a restaurant that would remind me of home and of my dad's amazing cooking skills. Then, I found Borti! Highly recommended. The quality of the food is top notch and the prices are more than honest. If I could I would eat there every day.
While deciding where to eat in the Citadel food hall, Borti caught our attention. It was their staff that lured us in. Their movement in the kitchen, their focus, body language, esthetic - professional in other words.The woman at the cashier taking our order greeted us with a smile, eye contact, and was interested in helping us. I am vegan, so they happily volunteered to adjust their menu dishes in order to serve me. The chef came over and offered something that wasn't on the menu, it fit the profile of what I like, I went with it, and it was delicious! (The fact that I am vegan does not mean that I don't like eating great food. Food is the highlight of my day, everyday and they did it right.) The pasta was home made, the ingredients were fresh tasting, and most importantly the dish was done right. My wife and son felt the same all around. I don't live in the neighborhood, but the next time my wife and I are around, or on our way downtown we will visit you again. Thank you!
