I've been coming to Bonsai for many years and usually order rolls, which are great. For the first time tonight, I ordered the Pad Thai with beef and it was tasty with the right texture. On previous visits, we've ordered some of the Thai entrées and they were just as good. Service was friendly and efficient.
Don't hate it but not impressed. Very basic menu you can get anywhere. Visiting from Chicago maybe I'm expecting more based on reviews but to start service was very lax and left much room for more. Just myself and I ordered well for one person. Shrimps in a blanket which come fried and a sauce right what can go wrong here? Not much but wasn't sure what the bed of cabbage and carrots was for?? Ordered chicken pad Thai again safe. Not great, was more like a BBQ sauce that just really didn't sit well. And then tried one of their favorite rolls. Forgot the name but have NEVER had a warm roll and was not impressed.The salmon was cooked! Leaving the cream cheese warm and soft for a not so good texture. Over all I'm sure all was edible but I just wasn't feeling it. I had to ask for napkins, they didn't fill water up and was just kinda missing that waiter customer engagement. Ready to order?. Is there anything else? And that's it.i would be okay with this if the place was full but there were two people at the bar and myself and the people at the bar left right as I got my glass of water so for sure there was time for a hello how is it going, have you been here before, I can recommend some stuff.....nothing.
Never had a problem dining in but once I placed a pick up order they over charged me $10+. the hosted Andrea lied about an appetizer I ask for her honesty if it was worth buying and turns out it was not worth the money. The crab ragoon is a negative zero. The host did not earn the tip money, I left her. Make sure to open your bag abs check. Be carful with ordering for pick up or to go orders. Always check before leaving.
KEEPS EYES ON YOUR RECEIPT !!!We went there a Wednesday night (not even weekends) 3 adults and 2 kids, and they charged us with the 18% ($30.00) of the Tip just because this depends on the numbers of persons, not the quality of the service, first of all this is not a High-end Restaurant for that and we for example had to wait a lot for the food. NEVER AGAIN THERE !!!
This place used to be my go to now they are super cheap the third and the last time I will get a 2 go order and will have one little soy sauce and zero wasabi because they try to save money. Not to mention the quality of the sushi went really down I ordered four different rolls each one was soggy and mushy. I order from there once a week they could save their cheapness of not putting wasabi and telling you that it’s in the bag for other customers. I will not return. I do not have time to take out all the sushi from the to go orders while people are standing in line to see if I have the correct sauce when the girl behind the counter tells me there’s several each including Wasabi. .
Beautiful atmosphere. Peaceful servers, reverse the words. The food is fantastic and the overall experience pleasurable. I forgot to take pictures except one. I look forward to my return.
This place was so bad we couldn’t even speak to the manager to get a refund because we just wanted to leave, they don’t even have a drink menu???? The server asked us if we wanted to take the food and we said no and just left. Will never go back again!!!!

Hands down, the best sushi place I’ve ever been to. Each roll takes you on a unique path of excellence and taste matched by none so far, whether it was the lobster bomb or the fancy dragon, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. A food journey like no other, presentation as beautiful a feeling as an unexpected gift, and with each course as good or better than the last, honestly you get lost. Make no hesitation, do not think twice, you will not regret it.
