The place was decent and the waiter was great, but the food was less than we expected from the reviews. We tried a few different things because we hadn’t been there before, but nothing was really exquisite

Not a bang for the buck, the food is good but think the Thai Express next to it offer same quality of food for a fraction of the price; they included the 20% tips (i guess cause i’m a tourist) and the server himself commented on the quality of the service/food.

Amazing food that's overshadow by price, cleanliness, and quality of service. The good: amazing food. If you find yourself here and like spicy food, the mala chicken and mapo tofu never fail to disappointThe bad: sticky floors and greasy feeling table downgrade the entire experience, but not more so than the subpar service I keep receiving. Been here twice already and the service was lackluster both times. Waitress takes a long time to acknowledge anyone walking in the front door. Also really slow service--asked to order an extra bowl of rice but it didn't even arrive until after we had already finished our meal and at that point, just sent it back. Always have to chase after the waitress as they always had their back turned to us. Tried to get a straw for 10 minutes and just ended up walking up to the counter and grabbing one myself. The price is also pretty bad. I get it's in a upscale and bustling area, but Chinese food is known for being delicious, quick, and affordable. $31 for a plate of curry noodles isn't a good value.Hope this place fixed their service because it has potential to be a hidden gem from the food, but for now is a disappointment.

Excellent food on a Sunday night! In town for a concert. Ordered appetizers, noodles, rice, chicken and flank steak dishes for a party of four. Accommodated dietary allergies. Everything was delicious, flavor profiles were rich and layered. Service was friendly and on point. Great experience and can’t wait to return.

We were visiting from Minneapolis and it was my birthday, so this was my pick for dinner. This restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive Inns, and Dives and looked amazing. Instead, it was incredibly disappointing. It should have been a clue when this place was completely empty, while the other restaurants we passed on Midtown were busy. When we walked in, the staff was less than enthused, we had to ask if we just pick a table or....?We picked a table with menus and water brought over. We weren't asked if we had questions about the menu or if we were celebrating anything. This is typically standard when we've dined out elsewhere. Decided to try the appetizer sampler and char siu bao. The food was good, but not amazing. It was almost $70 for an egg roll, 2 chicken wings, 2 lamb chops, 3 pork ribs, and 2 pork buns. I had to ask the waitress for a refill on my water, as she never came back to the table once the food came out, but instead, sat at the table next to us while on her phone.FYI, an automatic "service charge" of 20% is added to the bill.We left and happened to find a food truck festival on the way back to the hotel. I wish we would've found that first.

Chose to eat at the Blackbrick during our vacation because of Triple D. I was mostly disappointed. Upon entering it smelled, and not from the cuisine. The floors were sticky and dirty. The windows were dirty. The bathroom is dirty and dark. The staff was less than welcoming and doing nothing when we arrived, when obviously, there was plenty of cleaning to be done. The food was alright, but not tasty enough to warrant the cost. In addition, I was put off by the automatic 20% gratuity they add to bill. Something has definitely changed from the episode of Triple D I saw.

I remember going to this restaurant several years ago on the regular because the food was so good and it felt upscale with great ambiance. We were in the neighborhood today and decided to revisit it. Boy, was that a mistake! From the moment we walked in, we noticed how tremendously it had changed. It was filthy, the employees were eating at the the counter, the tables and chairs looked like they had been through battle, barren and separated like sad little islands. The bar appeared to have been abandoned. Everywhere you scanned your eyes, there was some random piece of clutter. Bathroom looked like a gas station’s.I came back to the table and asked my husband if he wanted to leave and head next door, where the patrons were in excess supply and appeared much happier than the very few ones surrounding us. Against our better judgment, we stayed, hoping the food was just as good as years ago. That was another mistake!Dumplings were hard and lacked flavor. My husband ordered the general tso’s gator, which was whatever, except for one unfortunate piece which I ended up eating that tasted so spoiled, I almost threw up at the table. I had to lie to my husband, telling him it was just a spurt of pregnancy nausea so he wouldn’t become grossed out by his meal. My meal, which came AFTER my husband had finished his, came with EXTRA bean sprouts, when I asked for NO bean sprouts. I pointed that out, the young man apologized and took the dish to the kitchen. What happened next, truly blew me away, to the point that I was left laughing and speechless. He came back with the SAME dish and told me in a triumphant voice, “I picked them all out for you.”To say it wasn’t the most attractive dish of noodles would be underplaying it by a lot. It looked like it had been to war and back. I took a few bites but I just couldn’t eat it. I threw in the towel, disappointed in the failed evening. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. NOTHING IN THIS SAD HOVEL IS WORTH YOUR DOLLARS OR YOUR PRECIOUS TIME.This place is in dire need of a manager! How can you have employees hanging out doing nothing, aloof of all that’s going on around them, when the place is a dump! CLEAN THE MENUS! CLEAR THE COUNTERTOPS! DUST THE GLASSWARE AT THE BAR! Set the tables so it looks more welcoming to the eye! The employees are clearly lacking in good direction and initiative. I will not be returning and mourn Miami’s loss of a once great restaurant.

Horrible experience. Zero hospitality from person on the phone. $300 takeout order, I pack of utensils, 1 pack of chopsticks, no sauces. Hoisin Ribs were inedible.

literally the best noodles I've ever had. Great food, and atmosphere. 100% recommend
