This was our first time to Anacapri, we made a reservation with another couple and we were promptly sited. The atmosphere felt right and we were looking forward to a nice evening and good food with our friends. The place was very loud and we soon found out that all this screaming and laughing was coming from one table party of six. It was impossible to hear each other speak. We soon realize that the customers around us felt the same way and every one started to complain. We called the manager ( owner ) and asked her if she could please ask those people to us their indoor voices, she told us there was nothing she could do and walk off. Obviously the party of 6 were inebriated and obnoxious but the owner did nothing to try to calmed then down. 12 people walked out that night saying they would never return. I can't tell you if the food was good because we did not enjoy it. Some of the help was apologetic but told us there was nothing they could do about it. The owner of the restaurant was WRONG and obviously money was more important to her then repeat customers. Very disappointing!! Never going back.
We have been going to Anacapri for more than 25 years. The quality has always been the same. The best food and the best wine for reasonable prices. The owners Joe & Maggie & Andy (one of them) is always there. The wine store is amazing and the market as well! The best Italian food in miami! Worth the trip!
I called on a Tuesday to make reservations for my mom’s 80th celebration for Sat. Feb. 20th & spoke to a lady about sitting in the private area next to the wine area. When I came in my family was sitting somewhere else inside in a corner. I was furious because it was supposed to be a special setting for my mom & I wanted it to be special she’s hard of hearing & couldn’t really enjoy the music or see how beautiful the place was. Their excuse was ridiculous that they couldn’t get a hold of the owner & the owner was the one who made a reservation for the table at 7pm when our reservation was at 6pm. I’m still upset about it because they could of simply accommodated us instead kept apologizing & said they couldn’t do anything about it. I couldn’t stress enough it was a special occasion & they simply didn’t care. Due to my experience I’m giving it one star. It was one of my favorite local restaurants. I actually went on Valentine’s Day & decided to come back for this occasion. However, the service in accommodation was unacceptable & I’m not coming back. I’m still upset about the whole circumstance & used to tell all my family & friends about this gem. Don’t feel the same way. I’m not coming back! ?
Very unfortunately we did not have a good experience at Anacapri. Reviews play an important role in the this community, they help many make an informed decision about whether the business is providing a good service or not. For my husband and I, it has been the worse customer service we’ve ever experienced and directly from the “manager” Maria. In addition to having a hard time just trying to place our order and then getting the order correct. When trying to speak with Maria about the risotto with mushrooms I had taken literary one bite of, she went off on me and my husband in a very rude and sarcastic manner. She stated what I was describing about the taste was IMPOSSIBLE and it was a shame I did not like imported mushrooms from Italy! My husband as a business owner was in complete shock! We could not believe our ears or what was happening! Maria conducted herself in an unprofessional and emotional manner not letting my husband or I get a word across. Not to mention we were disappointed with their food and what we had to pay for it. Maria refused to give us any type of credit after we returned the COMPLETE risotto dish. Couldn’t agree more with Lorenzo’s T review here. We will certainly NOT return here or recommend it. In order for reviews to function optimally, they have to be accurate representations of the experience. Sad to say this was our experience.
We have been going to the restaurant many years, and all has been the best, even the market, next door has food to take home and it is delicious, especially the sauces
The service was great, however, the place is dark and it is very hard to read the menu. They do not have a wine list but have a great selection of wines. The food was mediocre and overpriced. A cheese platter for the table was $40.00 and it is not mentioned on the menu. They charged $10.00 corkage fee for opening their own wine. The waiter did not inform us about this, neither she said that there was a 20% service fee included and hidden before the bill total. Then there was an extra line for gratuity and off course I added an 18% gratuity without realizing this. This place is off my list.
We have been here for dinner many times for many years. I still feel compelled to write another review because they are one of the few places where the food is always on point. The hostess is always pleasant, the waiters Ricardo and Fernando are always there to give you excellent service. The food from salad to coffee always fantastic. Over the years I have expected something to be a little off but to our surprise it has never happened. If you have a request they always get it done. We try their recommendations and they are always good. Many people we meet have always praised the place as we do. For a great meal and atmosphere this is still one of our favorites.
Food is very good, but its small, loud, and when busy service is spotty. Its success is its downfall.
I am writing this review with very mixed feelings. My family and I have dined here on various occasions. The food and service has always been very consistent. Last night we returned for dinner, we were greeted and taken to our table. From this point on it is extremely disappointing, we waited a good while for our server to come to our table and take are drink orders. He then took our food order and never saw him again. I had to ask several staff for water refills, salt and iced tea refill. The food came out and asked for fresh pepper and parmigiana cheese, had to ask two different servers. The food was good but the service throughout was horrible. I can’t remember the last time I had such terrible service and no attention to the table. I hope this was an aberration, or else I will not be returning any time soon. Happy Dining
Been going to this restaurant for years. There are no weak spots on their menu. Everything is the very best. You’ll also find that all of their staff is top-notch very professional and very quick to take care of your needs. We highly recommend this restaurant
