I'll admit that I was skeptical about eating at a traditional steak house. How old fashioned and boring can you get? Now I can say how wrong I was. My BFF brought me here for a bday celebration and we had a blast. Sat at the bar and had cocktails, listened to the fantastic jazz trio and ate a fabulous steak dinner. Yum! The steak really was outstanding.
The date for dinner with friends was set long before I realized it was a Lenten Friday. Yet , the menu gave way to wonderful options for no meat. Poke was exceptional. Certainly the price per item on the menu hits the higher side but the quality of the products shows why it's well worth it.The drinks (wine and mixed) were a generous pour. What totally took it to the top is that our waitress was great -she listened and was quite attentive even though it was a packed house.Certainly the jazz music coming from the bar only added to a great evening. Had not been there in years but will certainly come back soon.
Our experience at 5300 on Christmas Eve wonderful. The highlight of our visit by our 5 star waiter. He was attentive and can mix a great mojito and delicious sangria. The lobster tail was outstanding as was the filet and branzino. Can I tell you ---- the Bananas Foster was fabulous! One thing was missing at the 5 star restaurant - candles on the tables and perhaps holiday decorations in the restaurant would have felt more like Christmas with this little touches.FYI: ignore the Yelp reviews. Yelp is not credible.

I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is great and the stuff is generous and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we enjoy a pleasant time. warmly recommended.
This spot is worth a visit. They serve large portions for affordable prices. Consistently clean and with awesome character. Will visit here again.
Your steak will be cooked to perfection, the way you want it. Expect to spend $200 a couple of your not a drinker .

Just finished dinner here. Ernie was our outstanding waiter. Great friendly service. We had a Groupon and didn't mind the Groupon menu. Stuff we would've picked anyways. Loved the open atmosphere. Will go back!!!!
Ate at 5300 Chop House tonight. Not busy at all, which is great to have a nice intimate dinner. Ernie was our waiter / bartender. He provided friendly attentive service. The food was good! We had a Groupon which came with a special menu, which was ok because we would've chosen the same items anyways. You can eat indoors or out on the patio near the pool. Would definitely go back. May be a little pricey!
