This little hole in a wall will fool you!! I walked in with no expectations & I couldn’t be happier with what I paid for. Yes, they charge service fee & container fee for takeout, but for $20 you just can’t beat it!! We had it for lunch & returned for dinner!! It was full of fresh fish, calamari, large shrimps, & scallops, on top of the juicy flavorful yellow rice! We’ve had seafood paella in NYC/NJ, Barcelona, Costa Rica, & many more Caribbean countries & this one was by far the best!! Needless to say, we will be returning ?
We decided to try this place because the menu and prices seemed reasonable. We ordered the food to go but when presented with the bill before the food was prepared, it was much higher than expected. One menu item was higher than stated on the menu and the waitress tried to convince us it was all done by the computer: no apology and offer to correct the bill. We then noticed a 15% gratuity applied to a carryout order and additional take-out container fees. This all might have been understandable if they had been disclosed at the time of ordering. We do not support such sneaky and unethical business practices.
The 2nd day at Miami beach, I walked in this small cafe near to my hotel. I saw and ordered "Seafood Paella" from the menu without much expectation. Waited for almost 30 min, it finally came out and I understood why it took this long, the paella was finely prepared, lots and lots of various freshly cooked seafood on the top, underneath was a thin layer of rice fully soaked in very tasty seafood juice and soup. It was delicious and one of the best seafood paellas I had ever had, much better than some I tasted in Barcelona and Madrid, probably cooked for travelers (sorry).
I love this place. In the past I gave it a very favorable rating but now …. Beware: they won’t tell you but when you order takeout they charge 15% gratuity and .99 if you use a credit card. The waitress didn’t want to show me the detailed receipt. She kept insisting the customer copy was all I needed and then pretended to not understand English. I figured it out because it didn’t add up.
One of the only restaurants in the area so we tried it out not knowing what to expect. With the construction it takes nearly 30 minutes to drive anywhere. Prices we reasonable, food was just okay. Fresh fruit juices were really good. Went back another day for a juice.
I don’t usually write a bad review but very disappointed experience, yes price is right versus the extortionist pricing of other restaurants on Miami Beach . But pollo asado was served cold and barely cooked , rice was cold and sweet plantains where leftovers from date ago. All recipe for potential food poisoning

I tried a Cuban sandwich for the 1st time and it was delicious, Thanks to Manuel at The Red South Beach. One of the best places to get food in Collins Ave area
Perfect spot, everything from cuban coffee, smoothies, cuban sandwiches was great. Loved this place.
Great little spot! Close to the beach, close to several hotels, vast menu, friendly service. We stumbled in for takeout after a very long travel day, and we just needed something to perk us back up. This place did the trick!
