MY THROAT WAS CLOSING,MOLD, PLEASE READ!If I could give this hotel 0 review I would. I have never seen a more dirty place in my life. As soon as we got in the lobby looked fairly below average. So we decided to check in and as soon as we got on the scary elevator it took us to our floor. When the elevator opened we saw bleach stains all over the floor dirty walls and black mold and dirt in the cracks. Once we made it to our room Aamir also had mold growing underneath of it. Despite the dirty appearance we only stayed 20 minutes before my throat started to close and I lost my voice. We then proceeded to go outside to get fresh air to see if it helped. Mind you I am a very healthy person so this was very scary. After consulting with the guest I arrive where we decided we could not stay if I could not breathe, lost my voice and my throat was closing. I told the front desk who refuse to give me a refund even though we’ve only been there for 20 minutes with our inability to stay for safety reasons. He then called his manager and told me that my refund would be processed in two days. However here we are two months later and I still have not gotten my refund . The photos you see online is very false leading in the stuff is awful. It’s a huge scam do not stay here ! I payed Almost $400 for this place with black mold, and we didn’t even stay for more than 20min! It’s scam!

I felt the need to write this review because after reading all of the frightening reviews from other people my trip was almost entirely ruined & I was frantically trying to find a way to get out of this reservation. Let me say first that if you are a family with children looking for a nice place to stay to enjoy a peaceful trip this place probably isn’t for you. But if you are a young group looking for an affordable place to stay that is right next to literally EVERYTHING this place is awesome! The staff was super friendly and I definitely felt safe staying here. I will agree the hallways weren’t great, the carpet needs to be ripped up but honestly who cares? The elevator did break down momentarily but they had it up and running within a few hours. The rooms themselves had basic necessities. This is a 3 star hotel what did you expect? The bed was incredibly comfortable and came with sheets and a comforter (unsure about these other reviews claiming there were no blankets?). The air conditioner worked great, the bathroom was fine. It wasn’t fancy by any means but that’s not why we reserved this hotel. It was very clean. They offer towels and chairs for guests to go to the beach which is right next door, they also have coffee in the mornings. The fridge really didn’t work but we had a cooler and they have ice available so that wasn’t an issue. Honestly the sketchiest thing about this place was the parking garage we had to park at for $40 a night a block away & they don’t own that parking garage. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely use this hotel again.

My experience at this hotel was less than ideal and I share this feedback as an opportunity for this hotel to improve its property.POOR EXPERIENCE1. The hallway carpets were stained and in poor condition (see pictures)2. The light fixtures in the room only worked when I wiggled the plugs3. Shower leaked on the bathroom floor.4. When I approached maintenance about the leak, they told me to just close the faucet tighter (which I had already tried).5. The air conditioning didn't work properly (see pictures) I had to set the thermostat to 64 in order to get the room to cool to a comfortable temperature; even then, it still wasn't a comfortable temperature.6. The window blinds were also cheap and didn't close properly.7. The elevator had issues. I prefer taking the stairs but in this instance had quite a bit of luggage from a conference. I had to store my bags behind the desk until the elevator started working again.REDEEMING QUALITIES1. The beds were comfortable2. The overhead shower was hot and had plenty of water.3. Very close to the beach (2 min), to the Miami Beach Conference Center (5 min walk), and several restaurants along Collins street.Invest in the experience of your hotel! This place could be a cool/quaint place but instead felt drab and unwelcoming.

This is my 2nd stay at Townhouse, my first visit was nearly 12 years ago, so some things have certainly changed. However, I was surprised by the amount of negative reviews here, as my recent experience was entirely positive. The hotel is located on a fairly quiet side street, one building back from the ocean, so a 2 min walk to the beach. For the price, the hotel is a great value. There are chairs available on the beach for free, umbrellas are extra.I highly recommend the PH room, located on the roof. It has long line of windows overlooking the ocean, perfect for sunrise! The glassed-in shower is flooded with great light constantly, and there are 2 balconies. It felt very private and chic. We were sad to have to leave the room!We did stay 1 night in a room on the 4th floor, as the PH wasn't available the entire time. The room was a little dark and sparse, but overall it was fine. The hotel felt very cool and hip 12 years ago, but now the theme does feel dated and in need of a refresh. I heard there is new ownership, so hopefully they'll be able to put some money into the place. The restaurants were closed when we were there and the rooftop opened 7am-7pm. There is coffee available for breakfast, but that is all for amenities. However, considering the hotel category is budget, I do not expect anything else to be included. I do agree that the lack of a bed blanket is odd, but it is Miami. If you're cold, just turn the A/C off! You're not coming to Miami to sleep under a down duvet.I would definitely stay here again in the PH!

The only good thing about this place is price but more on that later.1. Building/furniture is old and in a very poor shape2. Rooms and restrooms are old and used, walls and furniture are dirty.3. AC never changes the temperature, it is set up to stay in certain temperature (money saver)4. Place has nice location and potential but without serious renovation it's definately not up to acceptable standard.5. Really great job by the photographer because in reality this place looks 100 times worse than in the pictures.6. Elevator DOES NOT WORK, was told by employee that has been like that for months and no plans to fix it any time soon, no budget for it so DO NOT ACCEPT a higher floor.7. Night shift front desk agent was extremely rude when I asked for a blanket to be bring to my room his answer was “I am the only one in the hotel you have to come to get it yourself” not even in a nice way, was very unprofessional.8. The whole place is out of service and falling apart. Honestly it felt like the Cecil Hotel.

The stay at this hotel was the worst experience that we had so far. The hotel is not at all 3 star rating and the rooms and hotel are not clean, they are very bad, doesn’t even look like a 1 star hotel. Elevator is not working and there seems to be no effort to repair it for the guests convenience and the stairs are so congested and very confined. Rooms are not as they are shown in the pictures and there is no space in the bathroom to conveniently move. One day there was rain and the beach chairs were not put on the beach even after the rain stopped before noon and other hotels had put their beach chairs. Besides this, there was an irritating sound in the room from the windows and we could not sleep at all. The stay at this hotel is not at all convenient for us.

It was extremely noisy. BUT the main thing is that hotel has many many poor people who get public assistance from the city. These people are not tourists at all. They are shabby and they live on each floor. They call the staff by name. These people are one step above being homeless and it perfectly obvious. While I do feel bad for their lot in life, I don’t need to feel guilty while on vacationThe owner had to apply to house and get paid from govt for this. Does ownership think we are stupid? Also they all hang out together outside the property and take all available seating. Don’t stay here

A girlfriend and I decided on a last minute getaway this past week (2/20-2/23) and stayed at this treacherous hotel! This hotel is everything the poor reviews state that it is. IT'S DISGUSTING! We booked the hotel through a Priceline Express Deal. So we didn't select this hotel, it was chosen for us. Prior to arriving, I tried contacting Priceline to get transferred to a different hotel due to rooftop bar being closed as well as the restaurant on the premises. And honestly because the reviews alarmed me as well. Priceline would not allow us to cancel and said it was non-refundable. So we had to stay or lose our money. I was right to be afraid. Despite praying that the hotel be clean, it most certainly was not. During check-in, I told the front desk clerk that I hoped our room would be clean because based on the reviews I was very concerned. He honestly couldn't even reassure me. He gave a kind smile and said if there's a problem let me know. Well, the room looked like a half way house or something. Bare minimum is an understatement. I told him that it was gross. He asked if we wanted to change rooms but also advised they were all the same. We stayed in the room we had since we'd already disinfected as much as possible. Thank God that we brought Lysol, lots of wipes and our own bath towels. The sheets were stained and the bathroom was disgusting. There was hair inside the shower and on the bathroom floor, there was hair all around the room on the floor, it was some big yellowish brown circular stain under the bed. The hotel room floor was sticky. The bathroom walls were molded. The L shaped "couch" in the room had a light blue cover over it that was stained in multiple areas. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. If you're a person who doesn't care about where you shower, poop or sleep and just want close proximity to the beach then this is the hotel for you. However, if you're a clean person and care about your hotel room STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! I was surprised that the hotel didn't have a bug problem as far as we could see. Those literally are the only two positive things I can say about this filthy hotel. I feel so badly for Manny, he has to take complaint after complaint and with a smile smh. Poor thing. A lady was at the front desk when we went to get beach towels and she was checking out as she said her room was very dirty upon arrival. I saw cleaning ladies sitting on hallway beaches doing absolutely nothing and on their cell phones. Ernesto was the only other kind customer service oriented person. He saw that I was frustrated as I was trying to work and couldn't even find a working electrical outlet in the lobby area. I had to work from their computer printer area. He showed concern. Thank you to both Manny and Ernesto, you both deserve raises for working for the slumlord who owns this trashy property. Please condemn this place! The restaurant being closed doesn't matter as I wouldn't have eaten anything from it anyway. I was able to make it to the rooftop area which still needs work done but it was better than the rooms. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! I wouldn't even return for a free stay.

An absolute nightmare and for sure the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The amenities are horrible, nothing like the pictures. There are countless non-identifiable stains on the carpet, mildew EVERYWHERE, and rooms are just plain dirty. If at least the staff were nice. Don’t let them bully you into paying additional “resort” fees when THERE IS NO RESORT. I wish there was a single good thing I could’ve included in this review but the bottom line is, this hotel has just ruined my time in Miami.

When we arrived at Townhouse, we were greeted extremely unprofessionally. We were charged an extra $180+ for a “resort fee” on top of the $200 hold, which wasn’t explained. Assuming the fee was for services like room restock, clean up, and breakfast service? We walked into a room with a bed unmade. No covers. After walking around the room we saw the visible stains on the pillow cases and sheets, the floor was filthy. When we called for a blanket for the bed they brought us yet another dirty piece of linen.None of what we assume the “resort fee” consisted of was provided without having to call each day or go and find things on our own after failed calls. On our third night of stay, leaving the Make Up Room sign on the door each day and night, our room was untouched. Trash was never removed, towels never changed, bed never made. I went to the front desk to ask why our room was not made up and I was told the rooms don’t get made up everyday. Meanwhile staff was walking around or even better sitting on the bench right out side of our room, that had the sign on the door, on their phones each day. With all that being said, if you’re looking for a place to spend a relaxing, clean, stress-free vacation, this place is far from what you’ll find.
