I live in the neighborhood and really enjoy the vibe of The Palms. The servers and staff are really nice and accommodating which can't always be said of hotels in Miami Beach (even if those other places are more expensive and trendy) Since it is Miami Spice Restaurant special from August til End of September; I wanted to try the deal with my bf. We got the Miami Spice Lunch menu and it had some good choices. We started w Smoked Salmon "Tostada" + Stracciatella toast and both were really fresh and not skimpy portions. For Lunch Entrees; my bf got the Cacio E Pepe pasta and it was very cheesy, noodle were prepared well and a good sized portion. I got a huge Mahi Mahi Sandwich which they served withe really fresh and possible house-made french fries and aioli. I got a bloody Mary which was really tasty and my bf got their signature spicy margarita and it is so good. For dessert; we got Tiramisu and Boca Nega (Chocolate Mousse Cake) and they were both really fresh and tasty. I definitely want to come back and try the Dinner Miami Spice Menu. Happy Hour at the Bar at the Palms is also a great deal although it is only Monday-Thursday but still a good deal for visitors and locals in Mid Miami Beach. If you are staying somewhere nearby I definitely recommend checking out the palms. The cafe in the lobby is also a pretty well kept secret when coffee options are limited between an always busy/out of things/chaotic Starbucks at 29&Collins and Crema at Faena Bazaar which I think has hit or miss service.
Took 20 minutes to get a server. Once we got one he was rude and incompetent. We ended up walking out and going to another restaurant.
Not what it used to be⦠restaurant almost looks abandoned, not well kept, servjce was not greatâ¦. they acted like they ddint want to be there. The food was ok but not great. Some plates were great but others were lacking flavor.
Good location, friendly staff, great beach, everything you need and reasonably close to art deco area (free trolley if you don't like to walk). The only negative is the really poor WiFi. If you have to rely on it (vs. mobile data) then stay elsewhere. Lots of Trip Advisor and other website comments about this issue but they don't seem to care as it's definitely not fixed as of June 2022.
The seafood is fresh and an excellent quality. The setting is beautiful.
Spa is peaceful and relaxing. Massage is always wonderful. Love that you can relax by the pool and beach if you like.
