After trying to get a table on Saturday evening and failing, we were gonna give this place a miss, but we decided to give it another try a couple of days later... So glad we did, the short rib burrito is exquisite and the nachos, great... Don't forget about the huge cocktails too, I had a medium Margarita and it was huge.
Worst service ever. Several meals were not even delivered. The manager would not even help. Gratuity is automatic part of your bill and refused to pay it. After the manager wouldn’t help it turned ugly. Don’t go. Rude and horrible service.
Wish we checked the reviews first. It’s been almost a week and I still feel like writing this review so I’m going to. Looks like a good vibe from the outside but that’s all it has going for it. We had to walk around until we found someone to seat us. We were seated and our server took our drink order. I have 15 years experience serving in busy settings so I know alllllll the ins and outs of the industry. My boyfriend’s beer came out first and about a half hour passed and I still didn’t have my drink, I went to the washroom and noticed my drink sitting on the bar, came back and it was still there covered in condensation. I mentioned to my boyfriend that I was going to say something when he brings the drink… 15/20 mins later (remember I know it’s still sitting on the bar) he brings it out and tells me how it was “finally” ready. I felt bad for the guy because he was genuinely busy and seemed flustered. I decided to not bug him about the drink. Before ordering I asked how long the food would take, he responded with about 20 mins. We ordered guac and chips, he told us he would bring us salsa on the side and never did. About an hour and ahalf goes by and we still don’t have our mains (3 tacos and a burrito) we noticed people who have arrived after us are finishing and paying. Our server tells us it wont be long…we had to pay for parking THREE times while we were waiting. Finally the server comes to verify our order again and asks us what we ordered because he couldn’t remember…I explain again what we ordered. (from my experience I’m going to say he didn’t write it down and forgot to put the order in) Finally I get my tacos but my boyfriends burrito comes out 10 mins later and it was terrible. We talked to our sever and ask for my drink and the burrito to be taken off. He explains the burrito can been taken off but the manager won’t take the drink off. As the manager walks by I ask him if that’s her and he says yes. Just from her vibe walking by me I knew she was going to be difficult to deal with. I told him to please send her my way. I explained to my boyfriend ahead of time that she wasn’t going to be pleasant to deal with. THIS is where my review really starts…you can serve bad food, you can take forever BUT if you do…you should be prepared to comp to make people feel like they didn’t just waste their time and money on your establishment . Please know and I say this genuinely… it takes ALOT to upset me in a public place and I’m the furthest from a “Karen” . I was super nice to our server the whole time. This manager however…she’s a real piece of work. She told me it was MY fault that after not receiving my drink for over 45 mins that I didn’t say anything at the time and drank the drink. That she has cameras of me drinking the drink….?!?! And that I can’t just try and get free booze….So she wasn’t going to take the drink off. I wasn’t happy about that and she literally argued with me to the point that I was started to get very firm, serious and offended. She told me I was yelling and causing a scene (which I 100% was not but then started to because she was being SO rude). I asked to have the 3 tacos taken off. She wouldn’t do that….she would only take ONE off (these tacos are like 4 dollars each). My boyfriend notices that I’m getting super frustrated and steps in. She tells him she will take 2 tacos off…which upset me because she say’s no to me but compromise with him?. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER had a manager escalate an issue rather than de-escalate it in all of my hospitality experience. I’m all about supporting women and I’m a friendly Canadian! But this woman was 100% in the wrong… she was ego/power driven and extremely unprofessional. She should not be in her role. I know food and alcohol costs as I was a manager once too…comp the tacos, make the customer happy. The server apologized after for the whole thing. We still tipped him. So frustrating. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
The food was really bad but the worst was the hospitality from the waiters, we had to ask more than 3 times for one thing and whenever we were asking it was a huge lack of hospitality and respect
Spot for a quick taco and beer nothing special but good spot to stop by for a bite and margaritas or beer. Service is spotty in south beach everywhere just need to relax and enjoy the sights.
When we first arrived there was no one to greet us. We found our own table there was 13 of us all woman celebrating a friends bday. After 15 mins of us sitting there we had to ask who our waiter was finely he showed up. We told him our drink order first then our food order he never wrote anything down just kept saying ok. It was not ok some of us didn't receive our order or it was incorrect. When we tried to correct it he was rude and again response was OK.....when one of us ask to speak to the MGR wow that was even worst she rolled her eyes at us and tried to brush us off like we didn't have a valued complaint which was very upsetting. We already had been waiting on food for over 45 mins and he forgot some of the order so we didn't even all get food and was kicked out for complaining. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone. PLEASE BEWARE of this establishment serves was the worst and the Mgr. is even worse not sure who hired her but she has no experience dealing with paying customers. They over charge you its a rip off!! Food is horrible we should of went to McDonalds for this crap.
Trendy spot but service is terrible
My girl friend and I were in the mood for tacos but didn’t want to search too far due to rain. The waiter was friendly enough but we asked for two margaritas and he said “small, medium, or large.” We went medium which ended up being $26 per and was syrup and no tequila. The tacos were like dog food. Three tacos each and two medium tequilas ended up being $160. Amazing they can afford the prime spot but I guess the tourist trap business model is what sustains them.
For all the foreigners please be aware when charged We were overcharged even for a tip that we didn’t place 14% and the service was really poor. The food is average and service unfortunately is really poor. I was not aware at the moment that i was overcharged as the card was taken from me to charge and i trusted to the waiter.PLEASE DO BE AWARE WHEN CHARGED BECAUSE IT IS UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE FOR A TOURIST TO BE OVERCHARGED;( Extremely bad experience
After spending days around Miami Beach decided to walk up Collins north of 16street. On way back down decided to stop here, as we had eaten a late lunch, to just get some nachos. Service was pretty fast, nachos were huge. Got only with beef and cheese. Not primo gourmet, but not bad. Had a beer which was just a can. Waitress brought out extra napkins, stopped back to make sure all was well. Spanish music playing. Nice outdoor seating. Bill reasonable and only charged 14% tip. Gave a bit extra bill was small. Had decent time.
