This is a difficult review to write. While the food and service is exceptional. The experience was very disappointing. Ordering a chefs tasting menu of the caliber of Chef Ford comes with high expectations and anticipation. And you expect to get what you pay forâ we did not. The cadence of the second half of the menu was slow and uneven with no explanation. Our wine ran out when I asked the waiter what was going on he said he would speak to the manager. Wine was then suggested, offered and poured clearly to be complimentary: it was not! Two glasses of fine red wine offered by the manager and appeared on the bill for $68.00. This was no error; you can read other reviews and hear the same story of the Michelin starred restaurant. Let me close by suggesting for wonderful and impressive dining experience try Joe Andreas Baazar, Thomas Keller Surf Club or Jean-Georges Vongerichten Matador Room. All will deliver memorable experiences. Chef Ford, we will not return to your restaurant.
Loved Stubborn!! The attention was really good, the food delicious, was a gratefully experience, definetely worth it.
We had the a la carte option, and were underwhelmed with the originality and taste of a number of the dishes. The truffled bravas were decent but not especially tasty, the foie gras was poor (watery and acidic- and it should be neither). The truffled chicken was tasty, while the swordfish we had was well cooked but not especially flavorful (corn jus excepted). In the peanut candy bar dessert the amazing banana ice cream showed up the rest of the dessert as sub par.
Perfect place for a nite out with my wife. We got an early dinner reservation (6:15pm) to ensure sufficient time to eat, drink and talk. Food was amazing, and so was the service. We didnât get any cocktails but we got an excellent bottle of wine and a five dishes as dinner. Would recommend it and will get back soon Thanks Stubborn Seed for such an amazing evening and experience⦠FA
Not what I was expecting, especially for the price. Not a Michelin experience at all. Drawn out, not good music. The food was mediocre. Just not worth the chefs experience.
Outstanding.....my wife and I've been to a number of 1-star Michelin restaurants all across Europe and Stubborn Seed is every bit as good. Wonderful fusion of flavors, every dish was very well appointed.
Took my best friend out for his 30th on a Saturday. The curated menu was delectable and we had a great time. It was excellently paced and our server Jackie was amazing. The drinks and food are presented masterfully and are unique. Would come again!

Best meal ever! Perfect way to celebrate partner's 32 birthday. So memorable and delicious. Really happy we did the wine pairing with the coursed tasting menu.
