Convenient location for grabbing a snack for the beach. Food was fine, but nothing was outstanding. Customer service was poor. We stopped in for some take out and were treated like we were inconveniencing them. Food was prepped and sitting there while we were standing a few feet away for almost 5 minutes. When they finally handed us the food they remembered that they had not prepared our coffee.
There is a small cafe in back of the restaurant with a take-out window and a small shaded patio. It is less than a block from the beach and a great stop to pick up fresh juices and a beach snack. Not open in the evenings.
We haven't been there since 2019 (3 years). The menu has changed, food choices are much diminished. It has gone from an outstanding choice to merely another Cuban restaurant. My wife ordered a pork dish that was somewhat skimpy. She ordered a double order of fried plantain and it wasn't. My portion was generous, but the black beans and rice were somewhat tasteless. We will try again in a few years. We are rooting for you to come back.
Do I know anything about Cuban, Caribbean, or Latin American cuisine? No. But I do know everything we ordered had great flavor. Service was also great.
Sazon Cuban Cuisine on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach is a great place to go for delicious and flavorful Cuban food. I really like the atmosphere that they have here and being able to eat inside or outside. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you are well taken care of.

Not what it used to be. Crowded, good food and service. Now empty, poor service, food mediocre. Other restaurants in area mobbed.
Very tasty cuban dishes, awesome coffee and friendly service for an effortable price. We went there two times and it got our favorite restaurant.
