This was my 2nd time eating here. Last time being in November. Pretty much ordered same food since we loved our selection first time. This time calamari looked more like onion rings and tasted as if they were refried . I had to ask for pita bread. Location is great, glad to see this neighborhood getting revamped. I was quite appalled when waitress tells me that she has to share the 20% service charge with the rest of staff. I thought this was a very nervy tactic to get more money out of customers . If I’m paying a 20% service charge I shouldn’t have to hear the waitress asking me for more $.. unacceptable!!

Mojito’s made with rotten mint. I decided to ask to the waitress why did she use the mint like that, and her answer was: “oh no, the mint is fresh, is just smushed.” Come on really?!$36 for 2 mojitos, 20% tip included and not optional, for this kind of service?! Shame on you. 1st and last time here.

My wife and I like to eat and drink at good restaurants, we go to a few in Miami. First time at Roni's was a terrible experience, service was decent, but food was horrible, my wife's NY stake could not be cut with the stake knife they provided, 50% of the stake was just FAT, the mash potato felt from a BOX, she could not eat the stake. My pasta with salmon was big but NO SALMON, may be they cook the pasta in salmon sauce and that's why the call it that way. OVER PRICE and they charge 20% service fee, for what?P.S the Corona beer was good

Great Mediterranean food, atmosphere and live music on the weekends.Location could not be better, across the street from the beach. My favorite dish is their hummus with steak appetizer.Your meal is not complete unless you top it off with Turkish coffee and baklava.Visit them once and you will be hooked, just as I am.I must warn you, because it is located in a tourist area, 20% gratuity will be added to your bill automatically. So far, I have always added a few more dollars to the tip because the waiters and waitresses have earned it.

So good we went back twice! Awesome vibe with live music and great food! They have a lot of staff and were constantly busy. Javier on the bar was a non-stop mixologist! The white chocolate martini & Long Island ice-tea were our favorites. We had falafels, Chicken tikka & tandoori chicken with naan. Very tasty and chicken pieces were tender. Could've been a little more heat in the spice for our taste. The owner seemed to be a little publicly harsh with his staff which is why I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5

Definitely not worth the price. The first time we ate here, we ordered take out. When the food came, the restaurant completely forgot to make the salad which we ordered and we needed to wait another 15 minutes for the salad to be prepared- while the other food got cold. The second time we came, we stayed to eat on the patio. The volume of food was decent, but very lacking in flavor and not spiced very much at all. After everything was done, there was a 20% service charge automatically added to the bill- upon which a "tip" was asked for. Overall not the best experience.

A local suffers in the hands of Miami Beach restaurateurs. The food was not bad, have had much better Middle Eastern food in several countries and continents, but also, much, much worse. It was not, by a stretch, inexpensive. The ice tea (non alcoholic) cost US$6.00 and it was probably a non-refill, and it was the best part of the meal! The waitress was nice. The problem is pricing and business practice. A huge poster advertises draft beer at US$ 3.00, but upon looking in the menu, you do not find any for less than 7. The menu also has a detail that most people will not see: in very minute letters, at the bottom, it says the restaurant charges a 20% service charge. Not unusual - lots of foreign tourists do not give waiters tips in Miami because it is not standard practice in their countries, so restaurants start charging the tip directly on the bill. Not the usual 15%: 18% is the minimum nowadays, 20% usual. The problem is, when the bill comes, there is an additional space for tips, suggesting a minimum of 18%, 20%, 25% etc. Service charge, to me, is a tip in the US, the amount that will be given TO THE SERVER. Upon asking the waitress, then she tells me that 10% of it goes to the house, 10% to servers! Unbelievable, thus this eatery wants to extract at least 38% from customers, on top of a no-too- inexpensive bill! She offered to take out the 20%, but I said that I wanted to make sure she got paid properly, and that I usually write reviews of bad experiences. How widespread is the practice? Well, yesterday a friend was adding an 18% tip to a check that included a 20% service charge in another restaurant. He did not even see it, he was trying to impress his date. And that is how South Florida restaurants extract undue amounts of money from the locals. So, beware, unless you want to pay a 38% tip, this restaurant should be avoided. Believe me, the food was not that great to warrant such expense.

Great food and good live music. We had the lamb, shrimp and chicken kebabs, very good. Happy hour drinks good. Baklava amazing!

First of all you can show up here for the baklava alone. trust me just trust me.Service was EXCELLENT. Food blew me away - especially the hummus. Will come back.

This place was awesome! DJ throwing down some live chill mix while we had drinks and amazing poki (octopus). Alphonso was exceptional host and server!! Made us feel like kings and queens. Highly recommended.
