the food is always delicious, as if when you go there, you would want to order everything else in sight
Low key spot that’s very close to Beach access. Food is amazing and fresh. The cost is much lower than surrounding restaurants. I highly suggest getting away from the ocean view and checking the spot out
House pototaos were great. The pancakes suck but I enjoyed the eggs and bacon. The toasted loaf of bread was quite odd.
Great Cuban sandwich. The staff is very local, and they spoke to me with Spanish. It took a little time to prepare my order but it is very a nice environment if you’re not rushing.Recommended!
Playa Cafe has a lot of Caribbean, American, and Central American food options. Those looking for veg or non-meat options should try the baleada, a giant flour tortilla filled with refried beans, queso duro, and crema. The cashier advised I add egg and avocado and it was a perfect breakfast. Also had a delicious freshly-made cafe con leche and plantains while my partner had the chorizo Central American breakfast plate (comes with fried cheese!). Looking forward to trying more if I'm ever back in Miami :)
A good spot for authentic Cuban food. The Cuban sandwich was really delicious, and paired with some fried plantains... Perfection. The old decor and age of the place really shows, but the food I had was great.
Everytime i am in Miami Beach, I come here to get my Honduran Food Fix. The ladies working there are very nice and polite. It never disappoints!
One word: PUPUSAS. After researching where to try pupusas, we wound up picking this spot and decided immediately to come back the next day for breakfast. The place is the perfect unassuming diner with spectacular food. Other reviews that say “no-nonsense” are right on the ball. Even better, it didn’t feel very touristy despite being right around the corner from the main strip of South Beach. Locals pick this restaurant too. Please try a pupusa while you are there! (Pupusas are patties made from corn dough with a filling inside - typically cheese and pork)
Breakfast was delicious and they had the best cafe con leche during our entire trip to Miami.
I love finding whole in the wall places like this! Food was delicious and authentic. Sandwiches are large enough to share.
