The waiter was rude, the miso soup was essentially just miso paste, the sushi was mediocre, and the atmosphere was strange. Should have been clued into the weird dining experience when there were only 3 other tables at 8 pm on a Saturday. Would not return.

It was ok. Very underwhelming

My server chiara and runner Luis amazinggggg. So glad we chose katsuya. Luis is so knowledgeable and attentive. The manager that I forgot his name but he is from Puerto Rico and blond. Such an awesome and professional team.

arranged this restaurant for my client and she was blown away by the quality of food!

OMG!!! What a hidden gem. I haven’t been in years. Delicious sushi, awesome ambiance and even better service thanks to Anibal and Dany. They have a good play list, variety of options hot and cold, great happy hour and flavorful drinks.

Thank you Dany and Diego for an unforgettable experience. Friendly and make great recommendations! It was my first time dining here. First of all the happy hour at this establishment is incredible 6-8 awesome food and drink options. Sushi is delicious! My favorite was the crispy rice. Thank you Dany, Diego and SLS for an awesome evening!

Enjoyed our time there. Only went for an hour, but would go back Drinks and music was great. Fresh cocktails.

My friends and I ate here for the first time tonight and it won’t be our last. The staff was amazing, super friendly and very prompt. Our waitress, Elena, was very accommodating and even complimented my dress. We highly recommend

Very unprofessional servers and other employees. Making matters worse is the unprofessional server told me that he is the grandson of the owner. I simply asked for my Salmon to be cooked up, and the server made a HUGE deal out of it as if he never heard of someone not wanting rare Salmon. When he walked to the sushi cooks carrying the dish, his body language and facial movement showed his frustration and a few of the cooks looked over at me, one even laughed. Very unprofessional, they should know not to intentionally stare at a guest, visibly showing the guest that they’re being talked about. He took frequent cigarette breaks, I was without utensils and water most of my dining (he took the dish with the silverware on it and didn’t replace the silverware when he brought new food). I sat for several moments waving him down until another employee saw me waving and told him that I was waving for him, and my food was slightly cold by the time he brought me new silverware. He gave me some friend shrimp for free AND said he won’t charge me for the salmon. I asked “why” and told him that the Salmon cooked rare is not a big deal, it’s not necessary to give me a free meal because of that. I just didn’t understand why such big deal was made out of such COMMON request. If you don’t ask your guest what temperature they’d like their Salmon then you shouldn’t get mad if they don’t like the temperature that it came. After all was said and done, the server pointed to a picture on the wall saying the man in the picture is his grandfather, who founded Katsuya. I don’t understand how the grandson of the owner could have treated me with such displeasure. I was denied a job there because of it, which is fine, considering a server who works there that I recognized from Rusty Pelican actually told me that the money isn’t nearly as good as I might think… But if you’re going to deny a person a job based on a half complaint from your unprofessional servers and sushi cooks then the whole world needs to hear this complaint.

Expensive and average quality...nothing was bad but nothing was stellar either. I expected more from a restaurant in the SLS.We had two cocktails, miso soup, chicken, chicken fried rice, seabass, and salad. Cocktails were good, salad had way too much dressing, fried rice had very little flavor, and the seabass was just okay.I would not return.
