After another Miami Beach Turkish restaurant that we used to frequent changed hands and almost doubled their prices, we were ISO an alternative and Kalamata popped up on our radar. We could not have asked for a more perfect dining experience. From the moment we were greeted upon our arrival and as we were departing, the service, food and ambience were exemplary. The only thing we would have liked to have seen on the menu that we didn't see were an olive platter and kunefe. We will definitely return.
My relatives stumbled upon this gem - super clean, beautifully decorated. They enjoyed the food, service so much and I decided to give it a try. With the help of our waiter Nyco, we ordered Mediterranean salad, Garlic shrimp, almond pudding, baklava. Everything was delicious!! The salad was so fresh, the feta cheese is delicious! The garlic shrimps were tender with bold flavor, I literally soaked up all the juice with bread, yum!! The almond pudding was refreshing and delicious without being too sweet. I am so glad I tried it and will definitely visiting again. If I lived closer I would be here every week! Nyco was friendly and helpful, made it a very enjoyable experience for us.
Friendly staff, seated promptly, unfortunately our table was right by the roadside so not the best position. Nice menu and food tasted good.
a solid place for mediterranean food. reasonable prices, good waitstaff, sparkling clean interiors. The mixed Mese Is delicious and great value for money.
I ordered the Mediterranean salad and grilled platter. The salad was warm soggy like it had been sitting in dressing for a few hours, it wasn't fresh. It also had chicken in it, which we didn't order. It was to be sent back and replaced with the arugula and bean salad which was excellent. I also ordered a grilled plater was cook perfectly and tasty. The server was nice and polite. However, one of the bus boys decided to starting taking my wife's plates off the table while I was still in the middle of eating. I had to stop eating so the plates wouldn't hit me in the head. It felt rushed and we decided it was time to leave.
We ordered dishes containing lamb. We loved the meat and appetizer plate they offered us. It was extremely delicious. Prices seem a little high but at least the flavors were satisfactory.

Fantastic food, great service, excellent value
Excellent choice of Turkish, Mediterranean and local favorites. We ordered gyro and mixed grill and few apps plus Turkish coffee /pastries. Our service was super! Timely and friendly and delicious! Prices were resealable for this area! And we loved free pita refills! Well done! Look forward coming back !
Great food and excellent service. One of my favorite laid back and relaxing restaurants in South Beach.
