HIDDEN GEM!This Cuban diner is a hole in the wall with some fantastic coffee, entrees, and sides.I ordered the pollo asado with mushrooms, rice, beans, and fries and my gf ordered the beef Milanese with rice beans and plantains. We were both extremely satisfied with the quality of food. This would be my usual spot if I lived in the area. We will definitely be returning.
So ... I've been coming here since I was 13 and I'm now 29. I knew the owners and daughters and whole family so when they sold up after coronavirus, it was super bittersweet (happy for them but obviously sad to see them go).The restaurant was sold as is, same menu, name and staff and hours of operation (closed on sundays). Honestly, the quality and quantity of food has deteriorated, a lot and yet prices went up... I know this is being seen everywhere but quality in this lil cuban restaurant is what kept all us old clients coming back. The food doesn't taste the same. The morning house potatoes taste like a tea and salt mix... the eggs portion is very small and even the rabo encendido (my favorite and only on Fridays btw ) the portion is so small and It's now a $16 plate. I decided to try the churrasco, tiny steak and $18... just simply the changes made haven't improved or reflected positively in the charge up or take over. I used to go once a week MINIMUM.. now I'll literally drive to go have breakfast when this is walking distance from my place by less than 5mins because I know I'm going to be disheartened during and after.
Amazing food and a hidden gem of Cuban cuisine in Miami. Reminds me of the small local Cuban places that used to be all over Miami. Viva La Cachita for their great food and stellar prices.
Food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very polite!
We are visiting, and of course, had to have some Cuban cuisine. Cochita has a lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, and the food….the food was spectacular! Pork was so tender it took allI had to not eat it all in one sitting because I wanted to have more for later. Prices are fair also. 5 stars all day.
One of the last mom and pops restaurants of it's kind with the best Cuban food and NO INFLATION prices! Go, enjoy the community activities at the Nomandy fountain while eating Cachita's food.
Omg the food here is amazing prices are great very friendly..moved here from ny two years ago and just found this gem ? I ate their rabo today which is on Friday that they have it and Jesus what a taste deft got a new customer
I sat outside the legitimate old school Cashita. The food was great and the new owners are remarkably kind. The cafe con leche is a must. Great place to take out if towers - much better than Versailles.
Great food and outstanding hospitality, highly recommended
Absolutely amazing food! The staff is so friendly and made me feel like I was sharing a meal with family! I will definitely be back the next time I am in Miami.
