Do not recommend. Wanted something quick and close to our hotel to go while we got ready for the evening. Ordered via phone and was told 20min. Walked over and was told our food was not ready. We then waited almost another hour with no apologies or updates on our food. we wasted an hour of our time sitting there waiting. We were never even offered a drink, alcoholic or non, while waiting. Very disappointing.
Food was great. Our server was amazing and sweet. Only thing is that the menu isn’t updated. We both ordered the chicken wrap and it cost about $13.00 (menu said $11.00).Gratuity/tip is already included.Nice mom and pop shop/vintage vibe. It’s inside the Lexington hotel. A very short walk if you’re in the south beach area near FAENA.
We ordered take-away from here and honestly it was great, everything was bagged and ready within 20-30 minutes. The folks tending the bar were very nice when they talked to us, but it was definitely an air of 'oh that's so-and-so's to-go order, don't look at them' sort of thing (like I actually heard one of them say not to worry about us because we were a take-away order). I don't think that's an issue exactly (bartenders want to focus on the people there to drink! That's the money!) but if we had wanted to sit and grab a drink we would have been ignored for quite a minute, I think. Tip is included in the bill itself, however it's only 15% so do with that what you will.I could not find an easily accessible bathroom (no obvious signs, perhaps around a corner?) to check out, so at least we weren't staying. There are lots of steps down into the bar, and I did not see any accessible alternatives to get down into the building. I don't think I would like to sit down and eat here, just due to the general atmosphere of 'loud, cramped divebar', but the food was great and I'm glad we got it! The portions were very good for the prices, especially compared to a lot of other local alternatives.(4 stars instead of 5 due to cleanliness of the building. I really wouldn't want to sit down here because I'm very picky regardless of what kind of establishment it is, but the food was worth going in to check it out!)
Yesterday evening I Sat down at the bar and the bartender totally disregarded me. Literally served others on both sides of me. 40 minutes later she asks if I was being served. I ask for a draft beer that there promoting at the door she comes back 10 minutes later and says she only has bottles. I ask for a Stella ( draft)instead and I am left waiting till I walked out of the establishment.I understand there is a labor shortage but just by applying a first come first serve system would have been satisfactory.
Very catchy “beaches” and not beach bar and grill. Food was ok, not the greatest and the girls hustle to get your food and drink fast. Joe (a girl) was polite enough and had very nice attention. I hope this place get serious about service and quality. Has a lot of potential.
Mahi tacos were fresh , they used a homemade dough for the taco shells and it’s so good. The fried pork chunks were spot on Puerto Rico style mofungo. It was a great meal . Atmosphere is tiki dive bar . Fantastic joint
I found this place to be quite deceiving from seeing the $ on the google maps, when paying literally $50 for 2 basic drinks I realized this place is very over priced just because of the location being close to the beach with no view whatsoever. It’s an overpriced dive bar at best,The service was okay but I feel under better management they could be much more than what they currently are..The food was 5/10 at best but definitely not worth what you pay for..I’m not entirely sure what else to say besides that if you are looking for a good meal this is definitely not the place to go.
We really wanted to like this bar but it needs alot of work. The interior is dark and dated, it could be so much better. I ordered a Mojito and the bartender obviously did not know how to make it. My husband ordered food and it was barely passable as food. It is too bad as it is a great location but I think Jon Taffer needs to come by and change everything.
Stumbled into this place and did not expect much. Blown away by the incredible Shrimp Scampi!!! Best ever!!!Asparagus was grilled to perfection and salad was overflowing!! Our server was amazing!!!!Kudos to the chef.... We will return!! Thank you!!4 star rating was only because it was not a fancy place. So glad we found it!!!!!
Our first night in Miami and we wanted something close to our hotel and found this bar/restaurant. The restaurant is in the basement level. Truly a ‘working class’ bar. Our waitress was ok, a little slow and flaky at times. However, she did take a shot with us! The food was decent. The beer was cold. This is the least expensive place we were at in Miami.
