Good restaurants over the years. On this visit the lovely senior server went above and beyond. I say it this way, not to denigrate any of the front staff but to show special acclaim for her specifically.The only challenge today was food temperatures being below mandated food service levels both on the Queso sauce and internal burrito contents (ground beef, beans and tortilla) Queso salt levels were unpleasantly high.THIS IS NOT THE NORMAL EXPERIENCE HERE.I am hopeful that this experience becomes a one off soon to be forgotten.Respectfully
We love Tijuana Flats and take it for what it normally is; decent Tex/Mex food that is quick, not too expensive, and usually tasty. For the first time I have to say our delivery was AWFUL. Got the only "hot" wings on the menu, the Habanero Agave, and basically got baked chicken that tasted like nothing.. maybe cardboard. Of course this is after I had to pluck multiple feathers off 3 of the wings, so I was disappointed to be rewarded by my efforts with Blah.. No sauce really no flavor. Similarly, my daughter's "Banging Burrito" fell flat tasting like nothing she said except possibly spoiled chicken. I hope this is just a one time snafu because we enjoy getting food from here but if its like this again I can't see us going back.
My wife got a catered taco bar from Tijuana Flats in Merritt Island and it was a huge hit! She was helping host a bridal shower and all the girls are big TF fans so this was an easy choice. We had tons of leftovers also.
Large hardshell Tacos are great! Sad that their Tuesday special went up $2.
Limited self seating. We had to stand with our chips and salsa until a table opened up. Food was delicious, though.

One of the best locations I have ever been too. Food was perfect and fast.
Order was wrong, no little cups at the sauce station, they forgot utensils. Steak in the taco was cold, beans had no flavor, food was sloppy. I expect more for $15 a plate. If you know what good Mexican food is, don't bother with this one.
Merritt Island location is going downhill. We used to order from here at least every other week but over the last 3 months our orders have been consistently wrong. Simple mistakes that could have been avoided in the kitchen but it seems like the current staff just don’t care. It’s a shame because we really enjoy the food here.
Don’t get curbside pickup, you’re considered a less important customer, clearly. I had people walk in the restaurant and order food 30 minutes after I placed my order and they ate and were finished before I even got my food. Extremely disappointed. No effort to make it right, no apology, nothing. Great training for your employees Tijuana… won’t be coming back to this place ever again. If I could give 0 stars I would. Place used to be so much better.
