Worst Steak n Shake ever. Stained counter under tea/drink station...easily can tell that cleanliness is not high priority at this place. Food was cold. Order was wrong. Counter staff is rude. They even had a staff member watching the dining room who was useless and unhelpful... made you feel like you were in jail with the warden watching you eat. Unpleasant experience.
No longer a sit down and Order restaurant have to order from kiosk ?Ordered chili 5 way and birthday cake shake. Chili 5 way came without cheese and no silverware to eat it with. We were almost completely done eating before our shakes came out. And my shake wasn’t a birthday cake shake , it was a vanilla shake, I didn’t have them remake it as I wasn’t willing to wait another 20 minutes. Also the floors were very sticky. ? Will not dine here again.
I like Steak 'n Shake. They do what they do - burgers, fries, shakes, etc. - very well for a reasonable price. The burgers are very good. The fries are great - just plain ol' French fried potatoes without that extra coating found on a lot of fries nowadays. And the shakes are excellent. So you go to a burger and shake place and you get very good burgers, fries and shakes at a reasonable price. What more do you want?
The burger was small and my opinion rings were few. We paid for 2 sides of melted cheese so my daughter could dip her fries in it and we didn't get them. I would give one star but the girl at the window was very pleasant and funny stop that's why I gave 3 stars. And they made my burger correctly the meat was just really small. And we wasted money on fries she didn't eat because there wasn't any cheese that we paid for.
First time dining in since they reopened the dining room. You now order from a kiosk. They're out of a lot of things and don't tell you until after you've completed your order. The floors are still sticky with grease. Every single table was dirty, and they act like it's a problem to clean one off for you. One of the girls cooking had a bare mid drift, WHILE COOKING. Don't waste your time or money. $30 for salty, subpar food that I'm sure to regret later.
Their new kiosks make it difficult to communicate what you want if it's anything other than their standard item. This chain is swirling in the bowl and it seems no one at the top realizes they're discarding all the things that steak and shake regulars go there for. Hand dipped milkshakes- gone. Friendly server to take your order - gone. A real plate and silverware to eat with - gone. It seems they've decided to become Burger King and that chain is swirling in the bowl too. Really sad to see somewhere that was once a great place to eat implode. Three stars because at least the fries were warm this time.
We used to go to this Steak and Shake a lot!! It has been totally revamped, and not for the better. One other person in the place, waiting for his food, no one to greet you or help you try to figure out the kiosk order machines, no waitresses, total lack of atmosphere and I could go on and on. No napkins and we had to go to the restroom and get paper towels out of the dispenser in the toilets. This location used to be VERY busy and it was a joy to eat there. Not sure what prompted Steak and Shake to "shake up" their business, but they really did a terrible job doing it----not even a thank you when we picked up the food at the counter. We won't be back----ever !!!
Food is pretty good, always fresh . Take drive-thru employee is always pleasant and always double-check order with you. Only had trouble with order twice did not make my order the way I ordered. Next time I'll check.it.

They downsized their menu a bit, getting rid of some of their better options. After that, it's an okay burger place, though it is overpriced, and even McD's would service you better. And never get their chili. It's some of the worst canned stuff I've experienced, and I *like* canned chili.
