Shrimp tacos were very “old” and chewy tasting, as if the oil was old, we didn’t get everything we ordered. $71 in food, we made. Separate chip & salsa/queso order, and neither the pico nor the queso was in the bags, so we just had lots of stale old chips with nothing to dip them in.Will not be returning.The staff was nice, though.
Service could have been a little friendlier. The place was clean which is a plus. Brought me my food without napkins. Would have given five stars if there was a little more hospitality and napkins were brought to me. I mean you see what I ate, I'm pretty sure anyone would need napkins not to mention it's kind of a necessity. Oh, there was outside seating, not the best views, but outside is always nice.
This evening my family and I had the most pitiful Tijuana Flats meals we’ve purchased in the five years we’ve been going to Tijuana Flats, this time at the location on 192 in Melbourne. Three bowls for Burrito Thursday totaling $25.65, and the contents appeared to barely cover the bottom of the bowls. The pico was a tiny amount of poorly chopped tomatoes and onions, and the chips had clearly been re-warmed into strangely-colored stale “things.” The chicken also seemed to be re-cooked, into leathery mystery meat. I suggest that increasing your prices while simultaneously letting quality plummet is a poor business tactic.We can now be referred as former frequent customers.
First time there I ordered chips and salsa and paid for them. Waited and waited and while I was waiting I saw an employee pick up the garbage can full of chips put her hand on the bottom of the garbage can that's been on the floor put the chips in the heater and pat.them all down... With no gloves on!!!!!! And at least three other employees in the back had no gloves on... After that I asked for a refund and left and I won't be back sorry Tijuana flats
Should of read the reviews before coming here!! But being a tijuana flats fan I didn't think twice visiting this location for the first time. The family and I ordered two chimmys and two taco kids meals. The kids meals were not made as specified and had to be sent back . The chimmys had very little meat and a truck load of queso which over powred any other taste it may of had. Never was waited on and had to go get our own drinks several times. I had left a nice tip when I paid the bill with hopes of being waited for refills. Not a big deal but would of been nice. I don't like to rate a business in a negative way on my first visit but after seeing the plethora of same issues left by other patrons It seems to be an ongoing issue.
This location used to be pretty good, but the last few times we've been it's been worse and worse. This time we found a bug in our salad. Between the inconvenient parking and diminishing quality, it's better to just go to the palm bay or Sarno locations.
I went here at 11am for my lunch break. I was the only one pretty much there. I am a truck driver. I only get 30 min lunch. Well a group of people came in behind and got there food before me. After sitting there almost 20 minutes I never got my food. I walked up to counter to get a refund because I didn't have enough time to eat. I was ignored by one lady with blond hair after she helped the person before me she just walked away. The other manager with the red shirt refunded me my money but said it may take a day to get money back. He told me that he was still going to give me the food I ordered. I told him to give it to a homeless person. once again I only get a small window to eat. So that being said I didn't get to eat on my lunch break.i am a truck driver I cannot eat while I drive its against the law with a commerical truck. I will not longer eat at the Tijuana flats franchise anymore , it seems be going down hill.
My partner and I used to frequent this location but fell off following the management change. I had an unexpected break in my day today and chose to stop in to pick up food for us both. The food quality has definitely changed, unfortunately— chips were stale, beef was not seasoned like it used to be, etc. The employees weren’t particularly enthusiastic either, except for one. I never asked her name, but she had curly hair and was wearing pants with a cool design. She was so full of joy that she wanted to pass on that even if my order had been completely incorrect, she would have still made the trip an overall positive experience. From the service and quality I received today, I wouldn’t have come back, but because she was so exceptionally considerate, I’ll be reconsidering and coming back next week for Taco Tuesday. Someone give her a raise!
