By all means go here! Initially and upon walking up we thought it very different from their website, but don’t let it fool you! We first walked in then left, headed to another bar (which by all means left our expectations way below met), then returned to The Salty Fox. Walk to the back, grab yourself a seat, and have an order of candied jalapeños with the beer of your choice. With fantastic, and honest, service, you’ll greatly appreciate making a stop at this bar. Tiffany was amazing and had such great service, even when under the pressure of a packed bar. Will definitely be returning for our next trip to Melbourne!
Fantastic! The staff and the patrons were all great. Made the bar feel like home even as a new person in town. Great people great drinks! If you find yourself in Melbourne this is the place to be. Even with a full bar and countless people inside the bartenders were still able to crack a joke or give insight to something in town. 10/10 will definitely be back!
I went with my husband on a nice day trip. We aren’t from here, so we decided to get coffee at Apocalypse Coffee Co. We then wanted food, and walked into this restaurant, where we were not greeted at all. Finally, a server comes to us and immediately is rude and judgmental. He tells us that we can not have our coffee in the restaurant, and my husband did not hear correctly, and he repeats “that’s the law.” Extremely rude, walks away and hands us a glass cup to place our coffee in. We were going to give this restaurant business and have a great time in a new town, but we walked out because of how unwelcoming the restaurant was. I travel to different restaurants and coffee shops as a social media influencer and I am very disappointed in this restaurant. Definitely giving this one a bad review.
I stop the other day for couple vodka tonics and they were small, probably 4oz, no more for $9 and the bartender was mediocre as best. Thanks but no more. The 3 start is because the people in the bar was friendly.
Bartender was less then helpful when I ask for a sample of the chocolate whiskey as I want to mix it with the peanut butter whiskey and have a reeses drink. Was finally able to convince him to give me a small drop . Over charged me for a beer I didn't order but took it off when I pointed it out. I usually have a great time there but this service was less than ideal
The pork belly Fusion tacos are amazing! The meat has a sweet flavor that pairs so well with the toppings. The ambiance is always fun in The Salty Fox regardless of the time of day.
We were a group of 10 that stopped in last night and your drinks were fantastic! All of your bartenders and employees were very nice and helpful. Thanks for the music and pool table. We will be back! Had no idea you served food.. next time!!
Spent a few days in Melbourne on a recent vacation, and my husband and I stumbled upon this place our first night. We expected a normal dive bar with "just ok" food, but I'm so glad we were wrong! We both ordered paninis, and they were very good...simple but unique and delicious. The bartender tipped us off that the paninis can also be made into wraps, so I'll have to try that next time! We felt a little awkward at first because it definitely seemed like it was a local spot that catered to regulars, but everyone we talked to was very kind and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!
I literally came here for the deviled eggs, lol but the place is all around a great bar and perfect fit for the area.
Cool little whole in the wall bar. Call down to earth people. It reminds me of the bars I use to go to in little five point in Atlanta ga.
