The food and service is excellent, the little extras like home made sourdough, sausage rolls, limoncello to cleanse palate are such a nice touch. the quality of the food s excellent and nice ambience. loved this restaurant and we will return the next time we visit Melbourne. ???
Have been going to the Dove III for over 12 years. Never had a bad experience in service or food. One of our favorite restaurants. Try the medallions of pork or filet Mignon- excellent
Wonderful experience. We will be back again. Service was phenomenal. Food was phenomenal. It has been a long time since we have experienced professional high end Italian and Dove III did not disappoint. Make sure you have reservations. The restaurant was clean and everyone was so polite. Very knowledgeable of wines and expert staff. I cannot say enough good things. I'm glad we do not need to go out of town for such a fantastic meal. Thank you all at Dove III.
Although the service was very good the Linguini and red clam sauce was terrible. No linguini just pasta with salty burnt tasting sauce with tasteless clumpy clams thrown in. The clams tasted like they were canned, not fresh. There were three tiny clams in shells on top. I am not Italian but my clam sauce is much better. For $25 I expected a lot more than what was offered. There was a pasta fagoli soup that was pretty good.
The ambiance was great, the service was excellent. The food was mediocre. For Italian food, the pasta was boxed pasta and the sauces used were just heavy on the salt. I ordered the special of the day which was cod, in a spicy marinara sauce topped with shrimp. Other orders were veal and eggplant Parmigiano, and the sauces were just doused in salt. It was a shame in a sense to have gone in where the service was so excellent, the place was highly rated, but the food was not the greatest quality. Quite adisappointment
I had the fish of the day (flounder) special and its sides were cooked to perfection. Also true to the time I spent in Italy they brought out a few different bonuses like a small bite or an aperitif complements of the cheff. If I had to pick something to gripe about it would be that the meal was expensive, but considering the quality of what I got I would say it was well worth it. 5 stars from me.
Fantastic food and great staff, my favorite restaurant in downtown Melbourne. We had appetizers both specials and menu all perfect. Eight people were split between menu items and nightly specials and everyone left happy. Can't wait for the next time.
Went with my family for first time the atmosphere was cozy and clean and the food was outstanding The staff was friendly and helpful. The compliment samples from the chef was wonderful you don’t get that anymore and to us it means a lot ! Making reservations again for some other family members visiting Thank you to your staff ,chef’s and anyone else I haven’t mentioned. To the owner or owners great restaurant and I’m sure my Husband and I will become familiar to your restaurant 5 stars in my book

I live a bit of a distance away and accidentally found this place while in the area today. The food was fantastic, service great and perfect mixture of friendly and welcoming mixed with formality of the ambiance. Best Italian food I have had since I moved to the space coast area from San Francisco- highly recommended!
