The Burger Place has been a staple if downtown Melbourne for at least 15+ years. I remember when they first opened at the location where Backwater is located now. Their move put them into a more central location, which I'm sure is better for business. The decor is from the 50s - 60s era, so that's a unique aspect that you don't see too frequently.The burgers are available in 4 oz, 8 oz and 16 oz. They don't taste seasoned to me, so that's one aspect I think they can improve upon. A dash of salt and pepper does a lot. However, the bun and available toppings counter the lack of seasoning. The fries are of the shoestring variety, which again is something you don't encounter too frequently. Shakes are good, too.Plan on spending between $12 to $15 for a combo, of course depending on the size of burger you order. I recommend trying them if you're ever strolling around Downtown Melbourne.
Hands down the beat burger and fries I’ve had since moving to brevard county! Thank you so much for knowing how to cook, the buns are even buttered and flavored to perfection and they have FRESH INGREDIENTS. It’s a joy knowing you can eat here and not go home to cook something else. I commend this establishment

Burger is always awesome. Lots of different topping choices for your burger. No excessive menu, which I appreciate. Shakes and malts are great. I love the fries. Friendly, fast service. Just a really great burger spot.
Really excellent burgers with an amazing brioche bun and you can choose what you want in it. If you don't know it you need to taste it
Food was great! Burgers were spot on. Fries were real potato fries. All toppings were on point as well. But the best part are the buns, as usual these are what makes their burgers so good.Young man that greeted us and took our order was very pleasant and joy to be served.
We ate on the patio and were not served any napkins or condiments with our burgers and fries. Delicious burgers and shakes!
Honestly. It's a good burger. I got the 1/2 lb with all the fixings. Fries are awesome for me. Fresh, and browned slightly. I know everyone likes them different. Not to soggy, not to crisp. Just right. The place is clean and has a fun atmosphere. The staff was friendly and well mannered. The kitchen is viewable from the dining area. It was spotless. The restrooms were clean as well. Inside or outside seating available. They have Heinz ketchup. I'm picky that way. The burger is huge. It tastes great on it's own. The buns are buttery goodness. Great place to stop and grab a bite while enjoying the downtown area of Melbourne.
One of the best burger joints in Brevard. The buns are made fresh daily which words do not describe until you have had the experience. Just don't forget to overlook the bacon add on and your favorite cheese you'll be set.
