We just went here for the first time and it was worth the drive. In a sea of ever disappointing Chinese takeout restaurants this "Lucky Garden" is "thankfully" the opposite, a hidden gem. They have very decent Chinese cuisine, & good sized portions. We picked up quart size: chicken chow main with cabbage and bean sprouts, plus sesame seed chicken, apps: steamed dumplings to die for and spring roll, together with the mandatory white rice, and fortune cookies.. Attention to detail counts and they were on it from phone in to accurate timed pickup and bag contents. Then comes "very pleasant people", quality food=great chef and again fast service on a Friday nite for a very fair price that puts them beyond average. This could be I don't know maby your go to forever Chinese take out. I hope! In the meantime like winning a double header in baseball, I can't wait to go back! Rocky
I did a decent order, they loaded up the food when all I wanted was combination platters. It was more like Large order of this and large order of that. Not a big deal we made it work. The only issue I did have was the dumplings were not really pan fried dumplings. They were more like wonton balls deep fried. They didn't taste bad but that wasn't what I wanted to eat. Overall it was tolerable.
Haven't had good Chinese in years. Stopped in and got house rice, house lo main and some egg rolls. They were so good and full of flavor the hubby enjoyed it as well. We had so much left over we had it for lunch the next day!
Used to love this place! Last 2 times I went I’m not pleased with. The first time our chicken was very dark and soggy. This time my bf got the Mongolian beef he goes and picks it up and it’s literally just peppers and onions with Little tiny pieces of beef in it. They also forgot to grab Rangoon so I called and asked them if I could come pick them up and if they could remake the Mongolian beef I brought them in and the manager was very rude told me that she looked at it when it was sent out accused of eating it when literally we just got it home and had to turn around and go back. They remade the beef and when she handed me the bag she shush me away with her hand which is what I think is rude. I will no longer be going to lucky garden.
I've eaten at many Chinese places and they weren't good but I found this place and I love it this is hands down my favorite in Melbourne. They delivered fast and food was HOT and delicious.
I went in and ordered a General Tso's Chicken combo dinner for takeout and was very happy with the result. The food came out very quickly and tasted delicious. Would definitely visit again.
Have order a few times. Food was very good. Counter help friendly. Normally, I'd give it 5⭐️ rate, but I guess today is not the day to order AmericanChinese.Order was chicken lomein lunch combo. It was its usual good flavor, however the rice tasted stale. Also order a favorite, chicken teriyaki stick, it was old, seemed to be like a leftover that was refried, burnt & greasey. Eggrolls were the usual, good.I'll continue to order from here bcus usually it is really good.
The food is good but if you have to use the bathroom you're out of luck. Maybe it's covid precautions but you're supposed to have a functioning restroom for your customers.
I ordered General Taos shrimp. Extra extra spicy. Though I got chicken. But it was in fact tiny shrimp with lots of soggy breading. About as spicy as sweet and sour. Call to complain but they could care less. Egg roll used to be good but that sucked too. At least offer to make something else. I wasted my money and I’m still hungry.
Love that I can get 1 dinner combo and feed 3 people because of how much food they give you. The price is worth it for the amount of food you receive. Love their coconut sauce
