We have dinner with my mom who lives in an assisted living facility every Wednesday. Last night we went to IHOP as a few people wanted pancakes and thought Cracker Barrell was too noisy.IHOP was very quiet. Only one other table in the restaurant. Service was friendly and helpful.
Waited over an hour and a half and still were not served. Made my elderly parents wait for quite a while without seating them, then over an hour at the table. Happened to us last time we came as well. Left and went to Perkins across the street. Front lobby was filled with people waiting to be seated- they followed us to Perkins.
Had a early lunch late breakfast today our service was amazing but I would suggest having more than one cook on staff for that time of day. Took about an hour to get our food after we sat down. Food was good order wasn’t correct but wasn’t our servers doing. Again schedule more than one cook during busy hours of the day.
This is the cleanest IHOP I have ever been in. Food is usually pretty good. Had one takeout order about two weeks ago with nearly raw bacon in it, was glad I checked the boxes when I sat back in the car, but the staff promptly made a replacement and I was on my way in just a few minutes. Dining inside, my most recent experience got off to a rough start, I was in a hurry and the restaurant was not busy at all. Out of 95% open tables/booths, I was seated at the booth right by the front door/hostess stand. Wouldn’t have been my first choice but I planned to order and be out quickly so I didn’t ask to move. I was sitting there for almost 20 minutes before anyone came over to see if a server had been by, which they hadn’t, even though the hostess who sat me was like 6 feet away. Once I was noticed, the server (who I don’t think was actually the one assigned to that section) was super apologetic, which I appreciate but told her it happens, no problem, just asked her if it would be possible to get a water and coffee and now place a to-go order instead so I could make it to my next stop on time, and she was great, took care of everything quickly. She brought my drinks and also ones in to-go cups and I had my order and was out the door in about 10 minutes. Food is was pretty good, about what I expected, but the server was great. Overall rating from the past and two most recent visits it’s okay. The service is hit or miss, but still there are some servers who are wonderful and really friendly and efficient about 50% of the time we’ve dined here.
The waitress I had was good but the cook was not accountable then they other black waitress had the nerves to say What she thinks she don't have to eat the omelet because we don't have mushrooms. Had I known that DUMMY I would have ordered something else
Excellent food. Fun sweet frosting & sprinkles on pancakes for kids. Delicious grilled Turkey and cheese avocado sandwiches. Great coffee and friendly service at the right price! An American classic original!
The food is what you expect but the service could definitely be better. The employees seem to be more interested in talking amongst themselves than to check back with their customers. If you get seated close to the kitchen you can hear all the employees talking very laud. I have been there 4 times and it's the same every time.

Don’t go unless you have an hour and a half to spare. Severally understaffed. One or two really great waitresses but the rest couldn’t care less about seating you or waiting on you. Eat there weekly but not anymore. Stood to be seated forever while two waitresses looked me dead in the eye and walked by not acknowledging me multiple times. Finally just walked out. I understand it’s Covid but If you can’t properly wait on the customers just shut the door till you can staff properly. Don’t just put up signs saying your service will suck.
Wait times are a bit long here for online orders. From the time I ordered my food to pickup was one hour long. The food is good, staff friendly but think they can improve on the wait times though I understand Covid may be the reason for this.
