Service was good but the food was less than ideal. The coffee tasted like it was made with hot water instead of cold made the coffee super weak and bitter. The definition of biscuits and gravy that they served does not match the standard southern definition. Some how they burned every piece of bread that was ordered. My oldest would not even finish his meal (teenager) if that gives you a bearing on how bad it was.
Tonight my boyfriend decided to take me on a date night to Perkins. We arrived at approximately 7:40 pm. When we first entered Perkins we waited for 7 minutes before someone came to greet us and take us to our table. Remind you the place wasn’t packed, so we should have been seated right away. One we arrived to our table the Waitress asked us what we would like to drink and came right out with it. Not to mention she forgot to add lemon to my boyfriend’s water. After waiting another 10 minutes she came back to take our order. My boyfriend order and appetizers and we both ordered a meal. Another 30 minutes went by and still no food. The waitress showed back up to apologize for our wait and offered us a free pie. We decided to take her up on the offer. It took another 10 minutes to get that free pie and still no appetizer or entree. She came back with the pie and stated the cook was slow, but the food will be out shortly. At this point an hour had past. A party of five came in and 30 minutes went by before they received their food, but they received their orders before we did . The couple across from us stated they been there for 20 minutes and know one has yet to take their order. At this point it was 9:00. I started to feel upset, so I asked my boyfriend to let’s go somewhere else because Perkins didn’t deserve our money. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. If I could have left 0 stars that’s what they would have gotten. I don’t know how other locations are, but this was my first time going to a Perkins and most definitely my last. Just close this location down.
How hard can it be to make their luncheon 2 or 3 item combos? Apparently more difficult than we thought. Service was so-so. But the sandwich was not at all exciting. Meat was dry and overcooked. Don't feel any need to go back here again.
Poor service, we waited on our order over an hour and still didn’t receive it. Was offered a free pie and they took forever to bring that out. This was my first and last time coming to this place. I give Perkins a 0. Waitress was nice, but the food never showed up, so we left. What a date night for me and my boyfriend. Run and go the other way.
The service is always fast the servers are friendly and the food is always tasty
Andrew the waitress needs to learn to give drinks first to guest and then give the napkins to the other people. I am now scared of what is going on in the kitchen because of his actions in the front of the house.. Currently here 8.16 pm.. Covid but their are not to concern about their patrons that i can see for sure already...before you eat here, check lake county health inspections of the build ip of debris on the kitchen.. Also not very friendly neither.. My female said the food is hard... And looks like left overs.. We barely ate any of the food and their still want to charge us 27.32 for food we barely touched..
Sorry to say, but I hadn't had Perkins in years. But the day I walked into this location, I guessed myself on why did I take so long to return. Great service from the time you hit the door, till the food hits your table, and when it's time for you to leave. Oh, please let me do add that I went on a free pie Monday day, I had a slice of apple pie and boy was it delicious. Thank you Perkins.
their could train andrew on how to serve drinks to the tables first instead of giving the other tables the napkins while the drinks were in his hands.. and let them breath all of the other guest drinks.. he made a big mistake with doing this... i am scared to eat the food because of his action in front of the house...espically when anything can happen..
We were seated very quickly. The food was served in a reasonable length of time. The orders were correct and the food was served hot. I had the meatloaf dinner and it was delicious. Definitely, I would order it again. The waitress, Marci, was excellent. She was professional, polite and came around to check if we needed anything else or would like dessert. Those qualities in a waiter or waitress, for me, are just as important as the quality of the food being served. Thank you Marci, for the excellent service and helping to make our dining out experience at Perkins Restaurant a pleasant one.
Our meal was very good. Our server was Andrew. He was fun and made us laugh and took good care of us. We had to wait awhile because they were short on staff but we weren't in a hurry so it was ok for this time.
