I usually have breakfast in their other location because it's in the next town over where I live, but I always find myself in that area so I tried going there for breakfast. It was clear from just the breakfast that I'd come back again. It was so good. Kudos to the chef that day. Everything was cooked to order but what put it over the top for me was the home fries. Amazing. I'm from Brooklyn and this was close to what I'm used to. More so than any other place I've eaten here in Florida. I can't wait to taste more.

excellent food every time I go

We dined here today. My husband loved his omelettte. I had the Belgian waffle. It was just ok. I won't order it again, but it was not so awful that I had to send it back, either. It was very brown and looked unappealing and the sausage was of poor quality. I kind of lowered my expectations so I would not expect much. The coffee was very good and worth the trip alone. Next, our waitress was awesome. She took good care of us and for that I gave the 4 stars that I did. They all go to her and the good hot coffee. Bathroom needs to be cleaner, too. Not sure we'll be back, but it was not awful. It's diner quality food.

Highly recommend. Excellent service, friendly and best home cooked food around Leesburg. Especially their homemade biscuits with gravy and home fries. Both breakfast and dinner have been excellent. Don’t think you’ll be disappointed going here. Their breakfast is my favorite place to come too. 5 star so far.

This was our first time at City Star and we will definitely be back. The food was delicious, the portions generous and the cost was very reasonable. The best part of our experience was our waitress, Kayla. She was super friendly, kind, efficient and just as sweet as can be! We even had the pleasure of watching her assist an elderly couple with their cell phone... such compassion! She is a beautiful soul and she made our time at City Star quite memorable. Thank you Kayla!

City Star Diner has as all of the ingredients it needs to be a delectable local eatery. The menu is diverse, the portions are satisfying, the food is good and well presented at proportionately fair prices and the service can be excellent. But it currently lacks one key ingredient, consistency. When these wonderful ingredients become consistent components of their daily recipes, they will become a local diner second to none. I encourage you to go and patronize this local diamond in the rough. Lets offer the support they need to fulfill their potential.

Great service! Our server Serenity was so kind and attentive. Will definitely be back

I was expecting the food to be okay, but it was actually terrific! I got the BBQ burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had. The pork chop was huge and nicely fried to a crisp. The taco salad was also a nice portion and the tortilla was crispy. I would come back here and eat again for sure.

Nice place with some southern flare. Save your appetite - the portions are not small. Hubby and I stopped here for a bite and ordered cheeseburgers.Hubby had the Cowboy Burger and I had the Rodeo Burger. Probably cooked to order, since it took awhile to get the food, but the wait was worth it. Delicious, juicy burgers and hot n crunchy fries ?Staff was friendly and funny, posing for a picture. Laura, our waitress, was attentive and checked in on us couple times.Definitely recommend this place ? ?

This is our new go to place. We have been about 4 or 5 times and it has been great each time. The service is great too. One time my husband's pork tenderloin was over cooked, but he let the server know. She agreed it looked over cooked. She brought him another and it was perfect. If you let them know kindly, they are happy to make it right.
