Very delicious ? and seasoned I got the Rasta pasta with shrimp and jerk chicken my husband got jerk pork with white rice and jerk gravy very authentic spices and fresh my husband picked it up from Oakland and drove 15 minutes home and the food was still hot and fresh both plates were $40 I did get extra meat in my pasta but definitely a 10/10 very clean establishment
If I can give zero stars I would..Worse customer service ever. The management should be ashamed of themselves.. the ladies who answer the phones are rude and disrespectful. I would never spend another dime there. This is the main reason why its hard to support black business..
Because this place has so much potential I’ll definitely be back. Barbi Fried Chicken was on point.. Rice n Peas was Also Good. Mac N cheese for 5 bucks let me down.. That Mac N Cheese reminded me of the aunt you didn’t want to eat from. But you had to be nice because your mother was giving you the death stare to not be rude. But you didn’t want to eat it because you know your momma makes the best. It was poorly mixed. They packed cheese on top.. didn’t take it out in time. Was slightly burnt.. again! Not bashing!! I am a Hard Critic. I am a Chef I mean come on lol ALL Good. Just have that passion every single plate. Don’t rush anything because you are trying to get orders out or backed up. Real people wait for good food. I always say Cook that food like your parents is eating it.. Cabbage could’ve had more flavor. Plantains Understood the assignment. Festival was on point! The Juice that’s being sold is not fresh squeezed. But it will do. Trust me.. a Glass of fresh Squeezed passion fruit is life changing. I had to give this spot a try. The business here is revolving and I respect that! Black owned! Gotta appreciate that! TREAT YO SELF! Poetic Approved!!
I don’t normally do this but… I called first and was prompted to save 3 dollars order online. So I did. The ordering system took 10 minutes to update my pickup time. The pickup time was set to 38 minutes wait. So I went anyway and as I walked in 3 customers were having difficulty with orders made online. Can’t find name etc..I was told my food will be up in less than 10 minutes, not 38 like the app said.When I received my food I checked it and like the picture shows it was only chicken and rice and peas. No salad no plantains or even extra rice. Granted this is almost a must with Jamaican restaurants, including this one when they first opened would serve a delicious salad with raisins, not anymore. I asked that I thought I paid for plantains, the lady said no, it is extra. I said to her extra is not the problem I wanted plantains. She went on to explain had I bought the lunch special it would have been there, but since I ordered the regular it wasn’t… makes no sense that the food that costs more comes with less and you have to pay for what the cheaper meal comes with… that’s a horrible plan.All you had to do is get some plantains and have me pay for it. I asked, and told you I wanted plantains but it was more important to “school” me on the lunch special even tho I’m paying more for my mealFix your websiteWhere is the 3 dollars your voice note spoke of if I ordered online or the app????Train your staff to recognize customers request.. notice I never asked for anything free. Good service is all I wanted but I see it is not here anymore as that is extra now.
If the good Lord made anything better than the food here, I truly hope He kept it for himself! This food made me savor it. I tried taking smaller bites, but they eventually grew to shoveling sizes. I had the jerk chicken pasta. It was unlike any Jamaican food I've had in the past (and I've had my fair share!). The food is made to order and it is worth the wait. *in my Terminator voice* I'LL BE BACK!
Salmon salad was good with the Pineapple dressing. The sauce on the salmon was very tasty. I taste a hint of coconut in the sauce. The salmon definitely made the salad.
A Jamaican restaurant basically. Alot of Jamaican themed dishes. Nice options. But my biggest pet peeve with this place is the wait time. So if you thinking about a quick place to pick up food...not your best choice. Order ahead is the best option. The online ordering feature was not processing my order sooo. But very wholesome food, delicious.
Food was fine, nothing special. Service is absolutely awful and the cashiers are completely incompetent. Forgot half of my order the first time and when I got it a second time, they still left out the missing items. They offered no solution and just told me I could come pick the food back up (after it had been sitting for 2 hours). The food definitely wasn’t good enough to wait for or to make extra trips for.
Discovered this place through a function at work. The food was great so I enquired as to where it came from. Since then, I visited on a couple of times. The food is delicious, reasonable priced and more than adequate portion servings. Menu choice is varied and wider than the typical Caribbean fare. The barbifry chicken is my favorite. This is my new Caribbean place of choice.
The food is delicious, just can’t get enough. Service is great, everyone is pleasant and about their biz. Music and vibe is nice, online orders are timely.
