The last time I went to this restaurant was five years ago and I gave it a four star rate and an ok review. But this time I was so impressed with the taste ? of the curry ? goat and the ? snapper that must have a better ?? chef’s.Please keep up the good work because I will be coming back soon ? to universality location to have lunch again and looking forward to sitting down and having a decent meal that is well prepared with ? No other Jamaican restaurant cooks as well as them, consistently!Even after moving out of state, I cannot find good Jamaican food as how it is cooked here. I would come here in the mornings to get porridge for my ailing father and go back and get their soups for lunch. I would buy my Friday evening dinners here and lunch time too. Dem muss tyiad fi see me face!This is where I go, or the location on Pine Island and Sunrise Blvd, when I visit home. Even when they are understaffed, the food is still great.Thank you to the the staff that show up and serve and, as importantly, to the chefs who come in early and prepare our meals. You all are doing more than just making food - you feed families and create a viable option when we can't go home and cook (or we are too lazy.) Thank you guys!
I ordered Stew peas on uber eats. After waiting an hour for the courier to get to the restaurant, I was told they don’t even have that on the menu today and that I need to order something else. Why did the store not contact me to let me know they did not have the order? She told me she did not have a number for me in order to contact me. I have been using the app for years and anytime something is off with my order the store contacts me. Picking random days to serve certain dishes is unhelpful and if that is their decision then please update the menu on uber eats and doordash.
0 stars for this place. I was the only person there and the three ladies working there gave me nothing but attitude like if I was the problem. They really need more friendly faces and people working here.
First time for us here.The food was good.The service was polite on this night.
food has def been slacking lately and a hit or miss. service is SLOWWWWWW!! no urgency to get the line down ever. they NEVER have what’s on the menu. especially the barbi fry. u literally wait 30mins to get to the front of the line to hear they don’t have anything. how do u have a whole menu of stuff but never have it?? prices increased as well but they need to start caring about how the food tastes!! this one is the best of all the locations too. another odd thing each location has different “rules” this location will give u 1 piece of mac n cheese and charge u for a side where all the others u get 2 pieces! get it together Donnas!!!!
The people here are extremely rude. They need to have some sort of customer service training. Worst customer service. Be better. This was the Donna’s in Fort Lauderdale. I went there twice in one week, and the people were awful.
Take out for delivery service Is bad they don’t follow directions requested they don’t even listen when you call to make sure it’s right they still made it wrong they don’t want to cook fresh food they rather tell you they are out how do you run out of cabbage and plantain at 2 why is the food not ready poor service and management
I am literally so tired of coming to this restaurant over and over again I have to wait 30+ minutes for my food constantly there is no sense of urgency when the orders are being done everyone who is working is lethargic and is moving like they really hate their jobs I am writing this to let them know if you hate your job please quit because you inconvenienced everyone else when you move like slugs in a fast food restaurant. Every time I come to this establishment it is a poor experience there is not one time I have been here and I had a pleasurable experience please emphasize the sense of urgency at this establishment They really need to either shut this place down or close for a little while so they can rehire people who can get people in and out of the store in a timely fashion I really hate this restaurant there are many Donna’s restaurant in Florida and this one is by far the terrible one Please save yourself 30 minutes and go somewhere else
Quality and taste definitely declining over the years. Clearly oxtails tasted like ketchup.
