Food was delicious.service was excellent, we enjoyed our food and atmosphere. Prices we great as well.
Food was good but they thought I was invisible..(how I was treated).everybody that came in as couples or groups were waited on.because I was alone no one came to the table even when I tried calling the waitress.till she was taking the order of the group next to my table..then I got her attention..15min..later i knew what I wanted didn't even need a menu.which never saw one anyway..she took my order.only 5 tables had customers .even one of the other tables noticed how no waitress paid any attention to me.they just kept walking by.it was not buisy
My husband had the fried chicken and loved it. He said it was very crispy and delicious. The portions were large. I had the gyro platter which came with a greek salad with a scoop of potato salad on top. Everything was delicious. The servers were friendly.
This place is absolutely disgusting, my wife and I literally sat waiting for a server for 20 mins to take our order. And it wasn’t even busy! Another older couple came in and got taken care of right away. No one came, not one person. I know racism is still HUGE but at a restaurant really? I never felt more uncomfortable and hurt by the way my wife and I were treated today. No one came we left after 25 minutes- that is ridiculous, and no I didn’t wave someone down I shouldn’t have to. I will be reporting this much further not just leaving this google review. I will be letting all my friends and family WHITE know that this place should never be mentioned let alone be their chosen restaurant. DISGUSTING. Corporate will be called trust me.
Decided to check this place out after reading reviews. Will never go back.I ordered french toast and my husband got the Gyro Platter. The French toast was very under cooked and cold, the Gyro is not fresh shaved rather preformed frozen patties of meat thrown on a grill to warm them, I had to wait forever to get a mimosa, ask twice for a refill on my coffee. Service is ok and mostly friendly but we should have went somewhere else. Lesson learned
Waited too long only to receive wrong order. Finally got frozen crabcakes and under cooked veggies in breakfast skillet. . Manager said they missed the mark without apologizing, comped our meal then said he was doing it even though I was a Hokie, I was wearing a VA. Tech. T-shirt and he said he was from Boston College ! Nice job trying to insult me after that meal ? As I left I told him I was proud to be a Hokie as our son graduated from there. As a first timer local to the restaurant someone else can have our seats as we will spend our $$$ elsewhere. GO HOKIES !!!

We enjoy breakfasts at Venus. Outdoor seating allows pets which is a nice plus. Wait staff are efficient, very professional, and the food is consistently very well prepared and tasty.
We had been told about this restaurant by some acquaintances. Decided to give it a try and found the experience most enjoyable. The location is very accessible. Ample parking is just steps from the entry. Upon entry the gentleman at the front till seated us immediately, providing menus, cutlery and took our beverage order. Within a minute or two the beverages arrived. Fairly quickly our server, but not the waitress who delivered the beverages, I assume the change to our server happened to provide quicker, more efficient service, came to take our food order. Within several minutes we had the meal in front of us. We were very impressed with our server, who frequently checked with us to see how the food was, and to see if we needed anything else. The decor was basic diner. However, all was neat and clean. But, then again, our visit was based on what we had heard about the food. The pricing was in keeping with the decor, but the food was tasty, well-prepared, and presented well. Staff were efficient, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful in attending to our needs. We will definitely return for more visits. We intended to do breakfast but didn't make it till lunch menu time. We are anticipating a breakfast menu visit based on the menu we viewed on-line. A shout out to Sadie, the employee's name on the receipt, for making our visit most enjoyable. Hope we have her serve for us on our next visit.
I LOVE the crab cakes benedict!!! It's what I always order. My hubby got the footlong dog and said it was FANTASTIC! Dog friendly too. I'll be back.
