Can't ever get an order right to save their lives. Ask for no avocado? You'll get avocado. Ask for Queso? Good luck getting that at all. Wanna try their delicious Flautas? Better hope you get lucky and get them on a day where they actually put any amount of effort into actually putting the ingredients into them. (Literally have several empty tortilla rolls with no chicken, no cheese...nothing.) Pretty bad when Taco Bell has better order accuracy than you do.
I've been here 10 times in the past 3 months. Not a friendly staff. The girls that work there rather stand around and gossip with each other than listen to your order or prepare it. Some have really bad attitudes if you question them while they are gossiping. My orders is hardly ever correct. I never seen a manager managing the staff. I just can't anymore. The food quality is good one day and then horrible the next. No consistency at all. Just not going to patronize this place any more.
Went here for the first time last night. The art is very cool and it's a clean restaurant. That being said, my wife's order was not correct like they didn't listen to her order at all and gave her what they wanted she was not able to eat what she was given. I get that they have the sauce bar but Chimi I ordered was very bland. The bill was $40 with desert and drinks not terrible if this would have been good food, portion sizes were a bit small as well for the money. We were both thoroughly disappointed and will not be back.(No we didn't complain while we were there as we are just looking for new places to try and if I have to complain the first time I eat somewhere it's not worth a return trip.)
I haven’t been at this location in a long time and decided since it’s all new staff and I’m no longer sick of the food, I’d give it a try. Bad choice, the place definitely went downhill the burritos are no longer toasted like they used to be. The quality and quantity are lower as well , I ordered nachos with extra steak and received what looked the the scraps at the bottom of the container, tiny and overcooked. All the staff is very polite from my interactions. I’ve given them 3 attempts in the last month thinking it may have been a rush when I ordered the first time. Nope same throughout, I give the 3 stars because I still have hope for this place. The decor is very cute and the environment seems nice, hopefully employees are being treated well and the cooks will be allowed the extra 30 seconds to toast the burritos or grab a new container of meat from the walk-in. “Slow” and steady wins the race.
Awesome place. The staff was friendly and the decor is cool. One of the better Taco joints Ive been to with a hot sauce bar to boot. Four of us ate and I picked from others plates and liked everything. A must stop if you are in town.Edited to 5 stars after second visit. Awesome food, again, very friendly staff.
Ordered online. Food promised 25 minutes after order. Food wasn't ready for another 10 ot 15 minutes after promised time. They were crazy busy and my poorl constructed take out quesadilla was dry, empty and just blah. Sad because usually, they are spot on.
This was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the shrimp tacos. I was concerned about the portion size, but I shouldn't have been. Two LARGE tacos, just stuffed with shrimp! The tortillas were nicely steamed and not a bit 'crusty'. Served in the traditional California style with fresh cabbage slaw. I despise American cheese, so was pleased to find these dressed with the much lighter, and more authentic, Oaxaca cheese. I was particularly impressed with their signature hot sauce bar, it allowed me to try several without any serious comments! I look forward to my next visit, and exploring the menu a bit.
Was absolutely amazing quick service amazing food. Love how they support troops and veterans
After years of frequenting this location, we have finally reached the end of our patience with the seemingly endless failures that we have experienced over the last six months. Over this time period, we have experienced cold food, missing food, wrong food, missing condiments and poor management response to the issues. The last straw came in the form of a manager stating that “we get what we get” when ordering for curbside pickup when we e-mailed corporate regarding the fact that the food was not properly cooked nor prepared. If you want to experience Tijuana Flats the way it should be experienced, we recommend either the Belcher or Tyrone location.
If you ask, they will put rice in your tacos. Wish it was available as an option online. Still tho really good tacos with nice chips and a whole hot sauce bar.
