A nice & quiet spot. Love the option to dine-in or take out. A nice setup of seating on the outside...its covered from the weather with a nice breeze & fans. You order your food from the display & they cook it. The shrimp tacos & cod fish sandwich were very good. The staff was nice & friendly. The Cocktail pouches To-Go...Blue Lagoon was a hit.
This place is amazing. We met the owner Dave and he led us in the right direction. The family and I ended up buying fish from them and cooking in every night. Amazing fresh fish and unbelievable customer service. Take the previous bad reviews with a grain of salt. The new owners care about their customers and strive to bring you fresh fish at fair prices. When we come back for our next vacation we Will be buying dinner here for every night. A+++
My husband and I traveled to Indian shores for our first vacation with our 8 month old. We are so lucky to have been told about J&k’s. Met the new owner, Dave, who recently took over. He and his staff were wonderful with helping with recommendations and the fish was truly the best we have ever had! We have traveled all over the world but had the BEST dinners cooking with the fresh, perfectly filleted fish at J&K’s. Highly recommend!!
Wasn’t at all impressed. Scallops were full of sand . And whatever they were fried in was off of the scallops. The fried shrimp were clumped together into a ball . If I wanted to eat sand I’d go to the beach and have a feast on sand . Take fried shrimp, and scallops recipe classes from seafood restaurants in NJ . They’ll show you how to clean scallops, and make fried scallops, and shrimp. Tried, and failed. I don’t recommend eating here . I won’t ever eat here again . Red Lobster has better seafood cooks !!!!
If you are looking for the most delicious fresh fish at an unpretentious location, this is your place! The staff is awesome and the food is delicious. If you haven't tried the "salmon bites", you haven't lived. They are amazing! Would definitely recommend.
Went to buy some fresh fish to cook on my grill. Bought snapper, shrimp and grouper. All 3 were amazingly delicious. You can also eat fresh cooked food at the outside tables which we did 2 days later. Dont be fooled by the small size. This place was great!
Nice fish. Expensive, but very fresh. I bought the Grouper. One pound was 2 dinners for me. First night was best. Nice sandwiches, VERY busy. Nice choices.
Just called ahead to order a few steamed snow crabs.. cool place, but got home and tried to eat them. They were soooo salty I threw them away!! $30 down the drain. I Come from a Cajun family and have eaten these all my life, the sweetness of the crab meat is what makes them good, at least to me. Needless to say, I won’t go back!
My family used to come here everyday. When I visit them, this is always a place we visit. After the lady explained that we can't order food because they stop taking orders at 6, i checked the clock while exiting the establish and it was six o'clock on the dot. I think they just didn't want to serve us. It had to have been before 6, when we were attempting to place the order. It seems like they are more ready to go home early than to respect patrons. My family and I will not be coming here again. We will gladly take our business elsewhere.
Used to like this place before the pandemic but over the last year I’ve had way too many negative experiences. Prices went up a ton. Fish sandwiches went from $2.99 to $5.99. The quality of the food has gone down (fish tacos are awful & cheap). The employees have also been so rude. We just got turned away at 5:59pm because they close at 7pm and didn’t feel like cooking another meal. The pic is them cooking in the kitchen & people dining as i sit writing this review. We were the only customers that hadn’t been served (party of 3). I have sympathy for small businesses that have suffered through this but the customers should not feel it so much. This is my third time coming here TRYING to give this place a chance to be good again, but its no longer the same business. Rude, overpriced, and I leave embarrassed that I was so excited to take family and friends there. Ugh. This place has really gone downhill.
