Its a nice theatre!
The acoustics were perfect during The Machine.
Good place to see a show. Excellent.
Just saw King's X. Very nice venue. Great acoustics, friendly staff.
The Central Park Performing Arts Center is a small venue yet brings in some top-rated acts. From picking up tickets at will-call, to the ticket takers, the staff is friendly. We recently saw the Branford Marsalis quartet and is was an hour and a half a good pure jazz. The only thing to criticize is that the seating area would get noisy if someone got up to leave or return. The seating is on portable stands that would creak when walking up and down the steps. The seats were comfortable. The free, no-hassle parking was glorious.
We go to this theater for shows and plays. Comfortable seating. Great acoustics. Nice neighborhood setting.
I was very impressed with the theater and the show. For a small local venue it was quite good. The park and building were very nice. I would definitely see another show there!!
Went to the Freddie Mercury concert at the Central Park Performing Arts Center last night. I thought the concert was mediocre, but the theater was nice. Our group had two rows of seats in the middle of the theater. They were great for viewing the concert. All of the permanent seats in the theater appear to provide good views of the stage. Temporary seating on the sides of the theater did not appear to be very good. It appears that the center holds about 500 people. There is ample parking available and leaving afterwards was easy since there weren’t that many people needing to leave.
