Great hot dog with fantastic flavor. However ordered a chili cheese dog to go and didn’t check till I got home to realize that the chili was never put on. So essentially paid $9 for a hotdog with cheese. Damn good food though. Just check your order before leaving.
It's just OK. Dog was OK. Very good fries. Nice staff.
Everything on the menu is excellent. The atmosphere has the Chicago feel. Food is straight from the grill to your table, so it is extremely fresh.Brittany and the staff were absolutely fabulous in explaining and showing the amount of food you will receive once you order, so come with an appetite. They were a little busy, so I cleaned my own table. Besides that, the restrooms and restaurant were clean.
Excellent Chicago Food, based around Dogs and Sandwiches. Try the Loaded Chicago Dog and Beef Sandwich! It's ALL EXCELLENT! Bruce is hands on and been in same location since 1993. Decor is a bonus and entertaining. You won't be disappointed. They are open 11AM-7PM M-F, 11-4 Saturday, Closed Sunday
I've been wanting to stop in here since moving down from Chicago. The place was very clean and nice with tons of Chicago paraphernalia to enjoy. I ordered a Chicago dog and an Italian beef. Both were great!! I was slightly confused at the presentation of the pickle, but it all tasted great. There was a nice blend of toppings stuffed in the bun, and a great snap on the casing of the dog. Perfect neon relish.But... if I'm honest, I was really here for the beef. And it was AWESOME!! Perfectly cooked, and deliciously seasoned. If I have any "complaint"... I like a LOT of giardiniera, so it was maybe a little lighter there than my preference... but I'm admittedly kinda nuts with it. It was delicious!!Staff was also all very courteous and super kind. I will most definitely be back with the wife and hopefully bring some friends too!
We love you guys but you have GOT to do something about the register during lunch. The gentleman literally had a 7 minute conversation with another couple during the rush while the line grew to out the door. People were definitely groaning and when they paid up and moved out, people literally clapped. Other than that, keep it up, we love ya!!
I absolutely LOVED THIS PLACE!! REMINDS ME OF HOME AND I FELT SO COMFY HERE! We live an hour away!! I made sure to put this place on all my social media because this place is great!!
I am originally from the New England area; I love a good hot dog! And, when I first discovered a Chicago hot dog, I was in heaven.The best Chicago hot dog I have found in the area is Bruce's. Other people have told me that Bruce's is their favorite too. I live in Northeast St Pete so to travel to Ulmerton Road for a hot dog is a trek. But it's worth it to me. Their fries are terrific and they also have other Chicago favorites.The whole restaurant interior is themed around Chicago. You will see all kinds of memorabilia on the walls. I met Bruce on my last visit and you can hear his native Chicago accent.They are not open in the evening so verify their hours before you go.
Took my cousin here for her birthday, we're from Chicago & know our dogs. This particular day the hot dog itself was much smaller than it used to be, her Italian beef bun was really hard on one side, and I don't know why they brought the pkg of frozen tamales to our table right after we sat down rather than when we were leaving, which I asked when ordering. I'm sorry, but for those prices we expected much better.
Four of us enjoyed lunch on a weekday. Funky Chicago-vibe decor. Place your order, it's delivered to your table. Two of us had the Italian Beef, w/aus jus & cole slaw. Fresh Gonnella bread made for an outstanding sandwich. The Chicago-style hotdogs were yummy served on fresh poppyseed buns. Crinkle cut fries rounded out a delicious lunch. Give this place a try, you'll be glad you did!
