This is the best hibachi I’ve ever had anywhere in my entire life. Being from New Jersey and trying many hibachi restaurants in FL as well, I can promise you won’t be let down. Proportions are big, food is always cooked right, & the sushi rolls are perfect.All of the staff are extremely helpful, nice, & work hard. 10/10 can’t recommend Tsunami Sushi enough. Any negative reviews are truly mind boggling.
Delicious hibachi style food in the heart of downtown Lakeland, what more can you ask for? The hibachi food isn’t cooked in front of you at the table, but the flavor is better than the big chain hibachi restaurants in my opinion. Super friendly, quick and helpful wait staff. One of my favorite guilty pleasure restaurants. I can’t recommend the chicken hibachi with extra yum yum sauce and the salad with ginger dressing enough!!
Like many restaurants these days staffing has its effects. We had two separate parties totalling 5 adults and 3 kids. They didn't tell us prior to, but any party over 6 gets 20% tip tacked on by default. Not terrible if service is great. We had 2 of our rolls incorrect when delivered to the table. They replaced the one we made them aware of but ended up taking it home since it was brought to the table so late. Didn't get any refills to drinks while we were there. They make great sushi rolls though when correct.
My absolute favorite sushi restaurant! I used to go to the one Winter Haven all the time but the one in Lakeland is more convenient for me. The bar with the fish tank is really cool and the drinks are great. Everything from the sushi to hibachi to ramen is superior. Jennifer the owner is great as well! Highly recommend!!!

Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was warm and friendly. This is our go-to place because there is something for everyone on the menu.
Our server was nice and kept our drinks full. I have to recommend the sushi though 100%. My companion and I sat at the bar and we were graced with being able to watch and converse with the amazing sushi chefs. They were friendly and fun even in the face of a busy crowded Saturday night. I think I will be coming here more often!
I have celiac disease so our waiter had to help me order gluten free. He was knowledgeable and patient. He first brought me someone else's dish but I saw noodles before taking it so I knew it wasn't mine. When our food did arrive the sushi was good. The hibachi was average but everything went south when I found a noodle mixed in with my chicken. The waiter apologized...it wasn't his fault...so I ended up paying $120 for the cook to make me sick. I am currently miserable!!!! Side note the fish tank bar was super cool and our 6 year old really enjoyed it. The atmosphere had a weird unhappy vibe. There was a second guy with our waiter who was friendly and smiled a lot. But just about everyone else seemed like they didn't want to be there. Very disappointing!
It's ok, the Sushi was mediocre and overpriced. The Chicken Teriyaki was ok, the portion was good, the noodle tasted good, Fried rice was severely overcooked. First time trying sushi in the Lakeland area and it was disappointing. The atmosphere was just meh.
