No doubt my favorite restaurant!! They have the best bread and cinnamon butter, the cheese fries are amazing and the salad was great.
Our family went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner tonight. We placed our names on the list and were advised of a 45 minute wait. We were told to wait outside. It was sprinkling rain, but we walked outside as asked. One member of our party walks with a cane and has a very hard time standing for long periods of time. It soon started pouring down rain, thunder and lighting. Our party went into the wait area inside along with about 7 other people to escape the dangerous weather. The covered area outside was shoulder to shoulder people. We were approached by “Stephanie” and told that we had to go outside. She wasn’t nice about it. We told her that we were not waiting in the rain. She told us to go to our car and wait. It was still pouring down rain! We asked her why we had to go outside and she told us it was a Health Department regulation. We told her that it was not a Health Department regulation and she argued with us. She was loud, we were asking questions. She continued to get more and more upset that we were questioning her. She said “everyone else did what they were told and went outside”. We told her that we were not breaking a law by not following her direction. We asked where it was posted that we could not stand inside. She then walked away, came back and said she spoke to the owner and was told we must wait outside. It wouldn’t have been an issue if there was not a torrential downpour outside. We then asked for a Reasonable Accommodation for our visibly handicapped family member. She said she would accommodate her but the rest of us had to go outside. The choice was go out into the storm, walk to our car in the storm, or squeeze into the covered area. We told her no, that we would not go out into the rain. She then said she was removing our name from the waitlist and asked us to leave. We did get argumentative. Stephanie said she was calling the police to have us removed for being difficult. We decided to leave before the threat to call the police due to Stephanie being unprofessional and lying to us. We were just waiting on the storm to subside. I won’t say that we didn’t get upset, because we did. In the end, it was a full blown argument. We have never experienced such unprofessional treatment. We have never been asked to put ourselves into extreme weather conditions for no reason. There were no signs posted saying that we could not stand inside. This was a circumstance that could have been handled differently by a better management team. We will never return, and after posting of our experience on Facebook, several others have had the exact same experience here. You’ve lost loyal customers. Shame on the management team at Texas Roadhouse Lakeland.
I ordered filet medallions medium well, when they arrived at the table, they were as hard as a rock, yet pink in the middle, I sent them back, & received them just in time to get the to go as the rest of my party had completed their dinner, no discount, very little apology,& when I got home , the new ones they gave me were just as bad! Very disappointed to say the least
The prime rib was kind of dry. And the flavor of this wonderful cut was hidden by the spices used. Prime Rib does not need these strong spices.
Service was fast, friendly and efficient even when they were slammed busy. I got the Ft. Worth ribeye medium and it came out perfect! I added mushrooms to the steak and my 2 sides were mash with dark gravy (you have a choice) and a Ceasar salad. With the free unlimited honey butter glazed rolls to munch on before the meal and a plate of rattlesnake bites appetizers, It was a very enjoyable dinner.
We were a little nervous about our guest experience when we came in because we were texted to come in and the hosts were lost and required that I show proof that I received a text. We were seated and our server, Annie, was awesome. Our guest experience went from 0 to 10 from that point on. The food was outstanding. Steaks cooked properly. We also appreciated the line dancing that the servers do. This is not something we see up north at our local Texas Roadhouse. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We absolutely love the roadhouse! Our son worked for one out of state years ago. There rolls and butter are awesome! Super busy but our waitress was super attentive to all her tables! Very much enjoyed my husband's 53rd birthday dinner!
Kim our waitress was spot on. Always right there just at the right time. Not hovering over us like I seen another waiter do to his guest. Kim was truly awesome, just as our food was.
It would have been better except the steak that was supposed to be medium was bright red in the middle. They offered to take it back and cook it more, but we all know that means the people you are with will be almost done when your meal comes. I didn't send it back but wish i had - it was too rare and I couldn’t eat it. WHY can’t a “steakhouse” cook a steak the way you request it? Isn’t that their speciality? It’s too much money to not get what you pay for!
Went out tonight to celebrate our anniversary...had an absolutely great time! The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our server, Kayla...was fantastic. Very professional, attentive, and personable! The manager was very hands on, we loved how this restaurant was run! Great experience.
