1st & last time. The food was actually good but service was non existent. The table was barren; no napkins, no condiments. I had to keep repeating myself, asking for refills and just simple service. The staff was too busy gossiping and playing with their phones. The waitress was absolutely the worst! When I asked for a manager we were told that there's no manager available, our good for nothing waitress was in charge. Never again!
Excellent service at a reasonable price. portions were good size and everything came out fast. Casual atmosphere, friendly service. Plentiful parking even at peak dinner time on a Friday. Definitely would go back. Great value. Bar seating as well as bigger tables. Clean bathrooms. Good choice for Mexican eats. They even had red manudo.
The delicious aromas as soon as you walk in are mind boggling. It all smells so good. Will need to go back and try it as I was just picking up food for someone else.. But I made sure I took home a menu...lol... it all looks and sounds appetizing...can't wait to attend for myself....
The service was horrible. Food was mediocre, whomever says this place is amazing doesn’t know good service or food. If I could rate them a 0 I would. Only good thing was my beers. I asked a helper for more salsa and she literally stated “I guess”! Than she didn’t even bring it over, instead had another person bring it over and when I said Thank You, he just walked away!!! Lol, I don’t think anyone knew how to say you’re welcome there! Place was horrible. Will never go back, save your $ and stomach!
In the roughly 8 years since my original review, I couldn't begin to count the number of times we've been here. We like it. However, over that period of years, there has been a slow but noticable decline in both the food and the service. It's still VERY good food, but no longer among the best in Lakeland. One observation we've made that could explain the decline: Originally, and up until recently, the owner was always present when we went in - day, or evening. I can't remember the last time we saw him there.

We had a great lunch and the place is beautiful. My friend said she wanted good Mexican food for lunch. We were downtown Lakeland so first we drove to the one on 92 but it was closed so we drove all the way to the one on S. Florida almost Mulberry. The food was great and well worth the drive.
This is the best Mexican restaurant I have been to. The food is excellent. I have been there twice now. You get a lot of food for the price. Delicious. I will not go to any other restaurants.
Went with my family of 7 of us! Food was ok- not horrible, but not great- bland tasting- but have had worse! What was upsetting and out of line was being charged $4.25 for an unsweet teas and sodas! My husband had a beer for same price! This is highway robbery! No reason for that and ESPECIALLY for two kid drinks! We’ll definitely stick with Tapitios on Memorial! WAY BETTER FOOD and no price gouging!
This place is always a pleasant experience. The food and drinks are the best. I recommend the Chile rellenos (stuffed bell peppers) with a frozen lime margaritas. ?
