All - food is fresh and great.
Per its location, Definitely don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This place is amazing! Came here for my birthday and the food was absolutely amazing! Jessy took care of us so well and offered us all the specials and her knowledge on the menu was outstanding! We had the bruschetta as the appetizer and it was so good! I got the lasagna and it was amazing and tasted so good, I didn’t want it to end. My partner ordered the ravioli and it was amazing as well! For dessert, we had the Creme brûlée and it was outstanding! We will definitely come back! And try their Soracco Moscato D’Asti! Phenomenal & authentic Italian!
great food.
So My friends have been telling me how wonderful this restaurant was for two years. They said it was a family business and that service and food is top-notch. I finally visited with them for dinner with my two friends. The waiter obviously turned sour when he heard one of my friends Southern accent. He became sarcastic and condescending. He continued to say he was confused and didn’t understand what she was trying to say. He lost all patience and became snotty. At that point I almost decided to get up and leave but my friends wanted the meal so badly we stayed. I watched as his attitude completely changed with another table and he was a jovial friendly guy. At best he tolerated our presence. All we wanted to do was finish a meal and get the hell out of there. Meal came and it was good but certainly not worth the price particularlyWhen you count in the service (or lack of) that we received. I’ve had better meals for less money and certainly better service at McDonald’s. I will say that it was probably the best Caesar dressing I’ve had this side of San Francisco but I will never return to this restaurant.
A random encounter with Dennie at Camp Margaritavile RV Resort. He pointed us in the direction of Scarpa's in Lakeland. It was honestly the two best meals my wife and I have ever had at any Italian restaurant ever. Gnocchi Pesto Cream sauce is to die for. Small cute little unexpected treasure. Friendly, attentive staff with helpful suggestions. Beer and wine only but great selections. Wish we lived closer except we'd eat there 3 times a week and I'd weigh 350 lbs. If you have the chance just go. I promise you will not regret it.
Bravo to the staff of Scarpa's! From the hostess (sorry I didn't get her name), to the waitress Joy, to Nancy the owner (Nancy you were hysterical tonight), the experience was just great! 5 Stars all around.Oh yeah, if you're a native New Yorker, make sure to ask for Nancy and if she happens to be working, see what she recommends for dessert. She's one of us and can suggest the most appropriate one for you. Hands down the best Italian food in Lakeland. We're looking forward to the next visit.Scarpa's is a family owned small business. Support these guy's, you'll never taste food like this in a chain restaurant.
We decided to try Scarpa’s restaurant at the last minute on a Saturday not knowing we should have had reservations. April told us they were booked up but that we could wait a few minutes to see if someone did not show up for their reservation. Someone’s loss became our gain and we were able to enjoy one-off the best Italian dinners I’ve ever had! Great service and wonderful food!
We went two weeks ago to celebrate a friend's birthday. The ribeye steak she enjoyed was very generous portion. The veal was fabulous! Look forward to another evening and veal again soon.
Excellent food! Especially pleased with the gluten free options. Wait staff couldn't have been more helpful. This was our third visit while visiting friends in Lakeland and is our favorite dinner spot.
Don’t be fooled by the rather nondescript exterior…this place is awesome! We took my dad here for his birthday and were treated to a fabulous meal from start to finish! Would highly recommend
